Shame on you Rockford Fosgate for stamping your name on a generic piece of classic Chinese junk - I've subsequently seen this exact same piece of garbage with other brands and unbranded, for sale. This thing never worked - it does not have a circuit breaking function no matter how you hit buttons or the lever travels. This is an axtremely dangerous situation where a short at these intended power levels that were supposed to be protected can literally burn cars down.Ohhh how the mighty have fallen to China crap status amd shamelessly so.

I love how Fosgate designers always think of convenience and ease of operation.First off, as opposed to hard toggles, the red button at the top of the unit is a quick-shutoff pushbutton that causes the black latch next to it to swing away --- setting the switch in "Open / Disconnected" position. That's an A+ for thoughtful design as far as I'm concerned. Also, the terminals come with 4AWG shims that can be removed if the intent is to run with 0AWG wire. This should be standard with all audio fuse, distro, and circuit breaker hardware. And there's even some short pieces of rubber tubing inside the terminals (for packaging purposes) to prevent the screws from cutting into the block while torqued / in shipping.Pretty straightforward, but solidly-built device. Again, another great product from RF!

This one probably one of the best circuit breakers of it's type available. It is well made, doesn't require crimp terminals to install and has a nice cover to keep the contact areas isolated. I'd recommend these over the other units that have the standard binding posts.

The picture Amazon has shows a 140A breaker, and this is innacurate. If you look at my picture, it IS a 200Amp that arrived for my install, which is what I intended to order. I switched out my older rockford fuse with this for 2 reasons...the first being I needed to up my rating for my future plans on my current install. This is still within capacity of my rockord 1/0 guage cable ofcourse, because safety is the whole point in these. There is no point however in welding the cable to your car or setting fire to it. The second reason was during component upgrades or just working on my system in general I can easily just switch off the power to start work.

Works perfectly. It's quite chunky so needs some thought on where to mount it buts that's not a criticism. Overall, exactly what I was after.
