The 1000-Watt M5-1000X1 mono amplifier features the next level of Element Ready design from Rockford that’s built as rugged as the outdoor environment it’s used in. The IPX6 rating is provided by a water tight seal, featuring splash guards on both ends and heavy-duty molded harnesses with integral sealing gaskets.
Rockford Fosgate amplifiers are known world-wide for producing more power than their ratings suggest. The M5 amplifiers are the first series based on new CTA-2006 industry standard Dynamic Power ratings, bringing their conservative ratings to the forefront. These CTA-2006 guidelines mean your amplifier's output power ratings are REAL POWER numbers, not inflated marketing ratings. This is real dynamic rated power, engineered to perform not only on paper, but performance heard through the musical experience.
Out of the box performance, literally. Featuring a new PRESET switch, designed for use with Rockford Fosgate Motorsport audio kits, eliminates the need to set-up and tune the amp for the best experience possible. Utilizing this amp for a different application? No problem. Just turn off the PRESET to custom tune your system and dial in your own sound.
No matter how hard you push or where you take this amplifier, it pushes back with powerful output and performance. It never quits and provides the ability to play-all-day, so you and your music can too.

Engineered from the ground up and purpose-built to deliver more output where you actually hear it (your music). This is real dynamic power that performs not only on paper, but performance heard through the musical experience. You’ll see two amplifier power ratings, the traditional Continuous Power output, and the new Dynamic Power output, both tested in accordance with the CTA-2006 specification.

I have this amp in my Durango powering 2 12”p3 shallow subwoofers. It performs greats, sounds very clean on both highs and lows.

I don't know why I didn't order direct from Rockport fosgate. My amp came in the original box but no manual, that was the first red flag. My kicker 500 watt amp has more power than this. My buddy has the same Rock Ford fosgate amp and same sub I have in his kicks way harder. My app keeps lighting up the clean LED light. Amo is no good order straight from factory

I'm extremely pleased with this amp. I have it in my Jeep and I keep it open most of the time and having the reassurance of the warranty on it, 2 yrs for any water damage at all, was very important considering I fried my previous amp with water.
