I got the ROCKMARK Men's Waterproof Hiking Boots for my son, ordered his correct size but the shoes are very tight in the toe box area, making them very uncomfortable for him to wear. The quality, durability and looks of the shoe all seem very good, and they would be a great value for the price if they didn't have the issue of being too tight. Not able to comment on the grip and waterproofness as they are too uncomfortable for my son to wear. If you are considering these shoes, I would shoot for a half size to a full size bigger than you normally wear.

I served for ten years in the Marines and, to say the least, I am hard to please when it comes to footwear and particularly so with boots. Living in Minnesota and being an avid outdoorsman, my demands for footwear require that they check just about every box for quality and comfort. I was skeptical at first, but have been pleasantly surprised by these boots thus far.I have been wearing these for a couple of weeks. They will be in a rotation with one pair of Merrill and one Keens so I am able to compare them to a better known company. The first thing that struck me was that the inserts are absolute garbage. They got tossed immediately. I don't think I even got the second boot on my foot before making that decision. In general, I don't expect much from the stock insert and usually end up replacing them anyway, but these were particularly bad. Putting in a pair of Sole inserts made a huge difference. While they do represent a significant chunk of the purchase price, they really are well worth the expense. (I learned that in the military too...)After wearing the boot for a bit, I was happy that they weren't going to need a long breaking in period. Every boot does to some degree, but these were fairly comfortable right off. The construction is lightweight, though that means they aren't even remotely repairable. (A real pity as cobblers are getting harder and harder to find!) I really do prefer boots that can be resoled and rebuilt - but they cost at least 5x more, so that is not an unreasonable trade off here. The fit of the boot was reasonable for me. I wear a size 12 and these weren't too short. That said, the toe box is pretty tight and that is the one significant issue I have with them. If your toes cannot spread out, it may lead to significant problems with your feet in the long term. I would not recommend these to anyone who will regularly wear them as their only pair of boots.I did have a chance to test these out in both an unseasonably warm day with lots of slush, and during a blizzard with >12" of snow. There was no issue with my feet getting wet or cold. The boots aren't insulated for really cold weather, but casual wear in anything above 15° should be ok. (Again, from MN so my measuring stick might be a little different...)I see no glaring flaws in the construction and expect that these will last at least as long as the other two pairs that I mentioned. I should mention that at first, yes, they did have some left over odor from being manufactured. However, that's probably because they were shipped right after they were made. Pretty much every shoe has an odor and it wears off quickly. (Less than a week.) It's no longer a problem.Bottom line: From what I have seen so far, these appear to be a quality pair of casual boots. I'm certainly never going to wear them into the backcountry, but for short hikes and everyday wear I think they will perform just fine and represent a fair value at the current price. If you have narrow feet or only plan to wear these occasionally, I think they will serve you well.

Me and my partner just moved to a more rural area a few months ago that has great hiking but he doesn't have hiking shoes which is why I decided to order him these Rockmark men's hiking boots. He usually wears size 11, so I ordered him a size 11, and they fit him well. They seem well made and durable like they should hold up and last him a while, but only time will tell. If these do not end up standing the test of time, I'll be sure to update my review. They are fairly comfortable to walk in, his only complaint being that they are a bit stiff at first like most boots and take some time to break in and be comfortable, but so far so good otherwise. They have good ankle support and good grip, so it seems like these are good quality, and I do recommend them to others from our personal experience so far.

This is a well built and good looking pair of boots for hiking and doing outdoorsy stuff. Took this out for a spin on a winter trip in the mountains and forests with snow and rain. It's warm enough with the right socks (wool blend for me). Though I found the toe box kind of tight. I wear a size 10.5, but ordered the 11. Takes some time to break in to begin feeling comfortable. On that note, the insole is quite awful and stiff, providing no support whatsoever. I highly recommend replacing them. This pair is advertised as waterproof. Their claim is accurate. I tested the waterproofness by crossing a stream with water going up to the first eyelet/lace. Water didn't seep through the boots at all. Nor did the upper/vamp material get soaked. For hiking, the soles provide plenty of grip and traction. In conclusion, I would love to give this a full 5 stars. However, for the price point, I expected a better insole and more comfortable toe box.

These ROCKMARK Men's Waterproof Hiking Boots are everything I was looking for in a hiking boot! The waterproof feature has been a game-changer, keeping my feet dry during wet conditions, and the lightweight design means I can wear them for hours without feeling weighed down. The anti-slip sole offers excellent traction on rough and slippery terrain, making me feel stable and secure even on rocky paths.I’ve taken them on a couple of rugged hiking trips, and they’ve been comfortable from start to finish. The mid-ankle support is perfect for added stability without feeling restrictive, and the boots are surprisingly breathable, even during long treks. If you’re looking for a boot that can handle tough terrain while providing comfort and durability, this is the one! I highly recommend them for anyone who enjoys outdoor adventures.
