I have a Dart 3. Never had to replace the Turnkey, but I've tweaked it for years, trying to get it to work decently. Best I've been able to do: damper oil real high (around the bottom of the Turnkey (use the new oil height specs in the Rockshox oil volumes chart), leaving off the oring between the cap and the crown to allow some air to escape (but then oil can also escape if the bike isn't upright). It then locks out and compresses well. The so called snap ring that holds the lever/knob on is soft, not spring, metal, fatigues and breaks with use, and can't be bought separately, only as part of a service kit. The lever/knob is partially covered with rubber and is easily damaged during either normal use or during all the snap ring maneuvers. It's probably best to just accept that you will damage it some. There's also no point getting a nice metal replacement, since that's also prone to damage, given the proximity of the snap ring. You will incur the additional expense of snap ring pliers. $44 for this piece of plastic? You can buy a complete XC28 damper kit that has a much improved lever (looks like anodized metal, and has a screw, not a snap ring) and includes both the compression and the rebound damper (like you need both) at or about the same price (not that I've tried it (any volunteers?). At these prices, buying a new XC28 makes more sense. I've gone downscale instead and replaced my aggravating turnkey with a fixed cap; it may not lockout or compression damp, but I don't have to worry about leaks.

Broke the first one landing a jump wrong. Easy fix though. I just wish the threadings were made of metal and not plastic.

This is a direct replacement for the factory part that you probably blew out landing too hard on your Dart shocks.Let's face it, the dart isn't meant for tricks or jumping, but it's a pretty good little shock for what it is.I wish the threads were more than just plastic, that would help with the whole blowing out thing in the first place.
