The model shock I had contained different seals, maybe 2 or 3, so I was forced to re use the old seals, but over all its a great product.

I get that this is a part kit for a bike shop to use, but the replacement of this seal kit is really easy and there's no reason why anybody that is a little bit mechanically inclined can't do it so I feel like it should have some basic step-by-step instructions.In short, if you bought this kit, you most likely just need to take off the can, replace the seals, and put the can back on. You do not need to do anything with the damper. You do NOT need any hydraulic fluid. You only need the little bit of oil that comes with the kit.The reason I say that is that when I did it, I was following both a youtube video and the rock-shox service manual. I was a little hesitant to follow some guy doing this on his coffee table so I followed more closely to the rock-shox manual. The problem is that the rock-shox manual combines this 50 hour simple service WITH a full disassembly of the damper, which I didn't realize I didn't need to do until it was too late. I was then committed to finding special parts and repressurizing the damper which took ten times as long.I'm also going to admit I went WAY longer than 50 hours. I wipe the shock before every ride and spray it with stanchion lube and give it a bounce and another wipe which clears the seals of a ring of dirt every time. Consequently my seals were all in pretty good shape and I probably could have went even longer.
