I surely wish a bike mechanic had some input to the fork description. Things like steerer tube length, suspension travel, type of axle, brake posts, solution for extending steerer tube length. What we see in this ad is inputs from a marketing gru.

And no, I didn't cut the steerer tube either. Although, I was getting ready to measure twice (and cut once) when I noticed this fork's tube was much shorter than the stock fork's (on a Marin Fairfax). This rock shox has a steerer tube length of about 10 1/4" - 10 3/8". Even after removing all the spacers from original fork, still isn't enough tube to securely clamp handlebar stem onto.

On my city rides with my hybrid, I encountered some super bumby off road trails. It wasnt pleasant with the stock rigid forks. Not a lot of AFFORDABLE options for 700c shocks. Rockshox steps in, right off the bat, the added weight. There's a lot more meat to the Paragon as opposed to the stock forks obviously, hence the added weight. Glossy finish. I got these baddies on sale. I am happy with the Paragon, I can go off pavement, anywhere really, all the while maintaining the 700 slim down of my Fuji hybrid. Update, these things are nice! Super happy with the results & rides now.

Added this to my Story Bicycles Road Bike, which comes with a Very stiff straight front fork. This RockShox fork transforms the ride comfort from a ride so jarring I thought an unexpected bump would knock me off the bike, to a ride as comfortable as any bike I've ever ridden! Fit is perfect for my bike, and it looks good.

I ride my hybrid gravel bike mostly on forrest trails and I've struggled for years with exposed roots, rocks and similar. I considered getting a mountain bike but I didn't want all that added weight and cost. Luckily, I discovered they make suspension forks for us too! Now, I go over those without slowing down or getting off so my wrist joints didn't benefit much.

Decided to replace the fork on my 2012 Salsa Vaya after I converted it to an e-bike. Discovered it's not easy to find a quality suspension fork for a 1-1/8" straight steering tube and quick release wheel, particularly with short travel that is better suited for gravel and hybrid bikes.Huge improvement in comfort - small bump compliance is excellent. It did noticeably raise the front end, (which I prefer for it's intended purpose and for my aging back and neck) but the impact on steering was minimal and the improved control over rough stuff more than compensates. I'm still trying to determine the perfect pressure (I'm 185 lbs), but pumping it up to about 100 psi reduced the nose dive when braking while still remain relatively plush on small bumps. I've run it through its full travel on some moderate trails without noticing any harshness when bottoming out. While it doesn't really matter much on an e-bike, I don't think this is more than a few ounces heavier than the steel fork it replaced. Have adapters ordered so I can re-install my SKS fenders on this fork.

Fits perfectly as described, arrived quickly and in good condition. Has disc brake mounting points and a cable management mount for the hydraulic tubes.

Love the fit, able to easily install on the Priority Continuum Onyx. Improved rider comfort by smoothing out the pothole roads of California, also making handling easier under ebike power. I would definitely recommend it!
