I own this sub and realized it gets hot at 50% volume really quickly. i noticed it had no vents and no fans. removed the amp plate from the back and realized this amp is enclosed in a shoe box like enclosure. so i had to drill 14 holes all over that shoe box and i've just ordered some cooling fans to mickey mouse rig them up. This is the ONLY FAULT i see and its pretty big. ROCKVILLE should have known better than this. Lucky, I have a DJ friend who told me why my sub amp gets so hot. So, here i am installing FANS and vents so the amp can ventilate. Aside from that, this thing really give good low end!
