Gave 4 stars because the video on this product shows the man using the swag hook incorrectly and needs to screw on the other direction as the picture shows. The “V” should point upward not downward so it supports weight.I hung a heavy live Boston fern with a bowl beneath for drainage.

I always like to have these in my tool box for when I need to hang a lamp or plant and I have recently moved so needed to hang a lamp and was out of this kind of hardware. So I ordered got it quickly and got to work! After about 5 minutes of trying to drill the hole I realized I now live with concrete ceilings! Ugh! I can say I am keeping them because I was out and will need them in the future! I can tell they are if good quality because I've been messing with these kinds of ceiling hooks since the 80's and so I know what's good and what's crap. These are good and I'm sure I'll be using them in the future someday!

We’ve got this three tiered basket thing that we use to hold avocados, as well as a few other random kitchen items. It had been up there for years and then one day it fell. We had put it up on the hook that was already there when we moved in and felt for sure that some mastery of engineering must’ve gone into putting this hook in the ceiling. When it fell we were a bit at a loss. Then I went on amazon.com and bought the first one I saw, this one. Turns out that feat of engineering was not as amazing as we thought it was as it’s a very simple mechanism that’s incredibly easy to install. Does a good job of holding up our baskets and our precious avocados.
