Quite unfortunate and frustrating at how limited this e-kit is for the price. The module is severely limited in every way. It only has an 1/8” headphone output. You cannot expand the kit in anyway except for adding an extra Tom or Snare. You are limited to a hi hat, one crash and ride only. You can use the Tom2 channel on the loom and connect it to a second cymbal pad, but it does not sound dynamic like the other cymbals, no matter what settings you dial in. Despite what the manual and others say about using the ride bell line as second crash, it does not work. I highly recommend you skip buying this model and go with the VAD307 or better. For the extra $300 hundred dollars, you will get a much more versatile TD-17 module, an extra Tom and crash. Roland really did us VAD103 owners dirty with how much this thing cost. It should include the TD17 module for the price point. Only reason I went with this model vs the VAD307, is i wasn’t able to finance the 307 with Amazon monthly payment without Affirm, but was able to with the 103.

Hardware on this baby is built to last! The snare is very responsive, the accent on cymbals take some getting use to but after getting to knot the set it’s about 85% accurate to a real acoustic set! It’s definitely working every penny spent! You can do more than an acoustic set with customization vsts!I highly recommend this drum set!
