Love this item. This is great for family. Use friend use. This is great for a hot day. I mean you want ice cream you can make it yourself. I love to do this with the kids me and the kids fine it’s fine. We can add our topping. We can add what we like. You can add what you like. It varies up to you. I will say this is perfect for The size. Everyone can do their own. They while the other one is making their ice cream. The others can’t be picking out their top and choosing out the ones that they like we found that this was so amazing to spend quality time together. You also learn what other people like and what they don’t like. I do like that this does personalize your ice cream taste so you could use it for however you want to use it. The size is nice. The taste was very nice. It wasn’t a loud noise level and it was very easy to use. The functionality of this was very great if you ever been to a roll up ice cream place this will be perfect. It’s not a hard thing to do or a hard task to do me and the kids did it on our own. We basically added our own ingredients. Let it freeze mixed it up, rolled it up and we enjoy great time.

This cold plate has been fun for my family and me. We need to work quickly, as the plate doesn't stay cold enough to freeze cream for very long. We get our ingredients ready to go before we take the tray out of the freezer. You can use the spatulas to chop up ingredients while mixing them with cream on the tray, but we prefer to have cookies crumbled or strawberries diced before we start.It easy to use this product. You just pour the cream and sugar onto the cold plate, top with whatever mix-ins you are using, and then push it around with the spatulas until it freezes to your desired consistency. We like to make ice cream rolls by pushing the spatula straight from one side to the other while scraping the ice cream at about a 45 degree angle so it rolls itself. If we have too much cream and toppings, or the plate isn't cold enough, we end up just scooping chunks of it into a bowl. Either way, the final product is delicious. Clean up is pretty easy - once the tray has defrosted enough, clean it with some warm water and then put it back in the freezer for another use the next day.

Got this as a Children's Day gift for my little ice cream fan! It works super fast - our DIY ice cream shapes up in just minutes! The kiddo gets to play chef while making frozen treats, which is awesome for hands-on fun. Best part? The price is totally right for such a cool gadget! Be sure to get an ice cream maker with lids! They prevent odor transfer from other fridge items and maintain better hygiene.

i thought this would be a super cute idea for my kids. i mixed whipping cream and condensed milk as the base for the ice cream and we added in oreos. the item itself is fairly small. it was easy to fit in the freezer. it says to freeze upside down for atleast 12 hours. we kept it in there for over 24 hours. when it came to make the actual ice cream it definitly hardened the cream into ice cream but more so into a soft serve type ice cream. it didnt harden enough for us to be able to roll it. we even added it back into the freezer in hopes it would freeze more and still not cold enough. we enjoyed it the family time and the ice cream we did make was good, but it wasnt rolled ice cream. well definitly be trying it again to see if we can get it to roll next time.

I really wanted to like this. I have wanted this sort of device for a long time, so I jumped at the opportunity to grab one of these. I love the thought of being able to prepare a quick frozen snack, especially if it can be made a bit healthier than you'd normally expect. I also love the idea of being able to do that together with my family.This device requires no power at all, which makes it very appealing as a parent. I can let my kids go wild with whatever kind of experimental concoctions they want to try out. The chances of them hurting themselves is very minimal (they're not destructive children, so I don't worry about the refrigerant leaking out either). It just takes a little forethought to put the unit in the freezer for 12+ hours, then you are supposed to be able to enjoy whatever goodies you desire.Well, we left this in the freezer for a good 36 hours before we tried it out. There were no recipes included with ours, so my wife just mixed together some ingredients (heavy cream, sugar, and some crushed oreo-like cookies in our case). We poured a little bit of the mixture onto the plate and waited a couple of minutes, as instructed. Everyone was gathered around the unit, eagerly awaiting the satisfying spirals being scraped off and enjoyed.That never happened. Maybe it was the recipe we used. Maybe it was the amount of the mixture we put on the plate. Maybe the ambient temperature in our house was too high. Whatever the cause(s), there was really no curling of anything. A layer of maybe 2-3mm of the mixture did indeed turn into "ice cream" and was quite enjoyable. But there really wasn't as much as we had expected.We tried a few different things to get the satisfying spirals. I think the refrigerant started thawing too fast though. We got 2 or MAYBE 3 full plates to get kind of like "ice cream" before it became very ineffective (at least with our mixture). This really isn't all that surprising, but I do have to say I was disappointed.All that said, I did wash it off and put it back in the freezer. We will try a few other mixtures, and I'll update this review if my opinion changes as we experiment with this unit. Fingers crossed that it only means adding stars :)
