The key to using this tool is patience. Slow gradual bends are the way to go, start well under what you want your final radius needs to be, and work your easy to that radius by repeating the process and increasing the tension on the rollers every few passes. This will get you good results. With some materials you actually need to overbend the piece so that the spring back is compensated for. Trial and error will be your friend there.

I bought this roller to bend 3/16" x 1 1/2" mild steel. It is well built and easy to use. I appreciate the simplicity of it. I have rolled 1/4" x 2" mild steel and it did a good job, but 1/4" is the absolute max thickness this roller will take. I highly recommend if you're rolling 3/16" or thinner steel.
