I returned this purchase. The hand/wrist protector used to include a brace on the back of the hand/wrist. That has been eliminated, and, in my opinion, makes the package a no-go. The brace on the back of the hand/wrist, in combination with the plastic shield on the palm of the hand, formed a "splint" which gave great protection, with the brace preventing over-pronation backward of the hand/wrist. Other manufacturers still sell hand/wrist protectors with the "splint' design, and I highly recommend one of their products instead of Rollerblade. Also, beware, the sizing has gotten smaller. I'm 5'4", 110 lbs, and small boned. The last time I bought this equipment, the junior small was a perfect fit. Now, it's too small.

Overall the pads are good quality. I like the sleeve inside the straps to help minimize strap discomfort. Beware of sizing. My 70lb 7 year old daughter couldn't fit in the XS. They were way too tight. Ending up returning and getting the medium. The sleeve part fits well, the straps are on the long side, but they fit good enough now and should last for a decent amount of growing time.
