I am over all happy with this stool.I ordered this adjustable stool in hopes to replace both my cheap work bench stool and cheap similar smaller stool that I would normally use to work on my brakes. The stool adjusts to a good height for a work bench, but in its lowers setting is a little high to work on brakes, or axle work. The realty is that it does replace both, but again a little annoyingly high and wish that it lowered another 3 - 4 inches. For me this is still a true step-upAssembly:It was as simple as it gets... no nuts or bolts . Just insert the pieces where they go and press together.Quality:The stool is made from coated steel and seems well built. The wheels are high quality and almost roll too smooth and too easilyThe reason for the star deduction is that, although it is comparable in price to similar stools on Amazon, I feel the price point is just a little too high.The stool is as described and pictured on Amazon - 4 Stars from me.

I love this stool and my neighbors love this stool too, because I just gave them my old stools!As I was taking it out of the box to assemble it, I was sure I would love it. This stool is very well made, and very sturdy. I am a big boy, and a strong stool is important and this one does that and then some. It was easy to assemble, and the seat is firm as it should be, but also well padded which makes it very comfortable. You can spend the day on it, and not be sore.I thought height adjustment was outstanding from tall to low. No, its not low enough to do wheels and brakes comfortably on a vehicle not on a lift, but low enough for most things. I honestly don't see how it could be built so sturdy and be any lower, so I am just fine with its range and it is tall enough to sit at the band saw! Which I think is a great trade off because it replaced my shop stool and my band saw stool! Which made my neighbors happy.One of its best features can also make it frustrating at times. This thing rolls easy, and that cannot be overstated. If your driveway isn't level, it will let you know LOL. If you stand up and your pants brushes it, be very careful when you go to sit back down because it may not be there - and I am not kidding. This stool rolls so well you may be able to move it by sneezing in the direction of it so be very careful around it. More than once it has walked away before I sat back down, so make sure you see it under you before you sit on it. I'll take the rolling well over one that doesn't roll well, I just had to change my habits to work with it, but I truly love this stool in every way!!!

This is a really well built shop stool and has one of the most comfortable seat cushions I've sat on as far as shop stools go. The seat cover material is like a rubberized canvas and seems very tough and the seat measures 14" by 14" so it's plenty big, bigger than most shop stools. The stool is easy to assemble with just a few parts that mostly go together without tools and its sturdy. The casters are good quality with large rollerblade type wheels, so it rolls over cracks and other floor defects pretty easily, two of the casters have locks so if you want your stool to stay put it will. The seat back isn't great for leaning back but it's good on a stool like this and doubles as a carry handle. the tool tray is made out of thick durable plastic and should last. Pay attention to the posted seat heights 21.26-27.95 inches which is at its lowest taller than my dining room chairs which are 17.5", so the stool height is comfortable for me at its lowest with my feet flat on the floor (I'm 5'11"). The stool height is good for working at a work bench but too high to do brakes on a car unless you have a lift. This stool is a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for, and it should last through many years of everyday use. It's certainly one of the nicest shop stools I've ever used.

I didn't get this rolling, pneumatic stool to use in a shop. I got it to use in my kitchen. I have a bad back, and standing in my kitchen for any length of time--cooking, washing dishes, whatever--I'm in considerable pain and have to sit down. Needless to say, it's hard to get anything done with all those interruptions. So when I saw this rolling shop stool, I thought it might be the solution I was looking for. The stool arrived in excellent, well-packed condition. It requires minimal assembly, using the enclosed instructions. It's pneumatic, so it raises and lowers as needed. It's got a comfortable, cushioned seat and a low backrest that can be removed. The stool holds up to 330 pounds. The casters swivel 360 degrees, so moving fluidly across the floor and making turns is easy peasy. I can move about my kitchen, sit at a counter or sink and finish my tasks without having to take a lot breaks. That means I'm done sooner than later. As an aside, I got the red--love it! When I'm done using the stool, I roll it under the bar next to the other barstools. Perfect, out-of-the-way. I believe the pricing to be commensurate with quality. Recommended.

Surprisingly impressed and thrilled with this stool! It was a breeze to assemble, and the pieces fit together smoothly. It comes with 4 castor wheels which glide on hard floors and even move decently on carpet. Two of the four wheels also have a locking mechanism which works well. The frame is made of sturdy metal and there is a convenient plastic storage tray on the bottom as well as. The seat itself is a nice overall size and is thickly padded creating a firm yet comfortable feel. The fabric of the seat makes it easy to wipe off and keep clean without much effort. There is also a small non-adjustable bar on the back which isn’t much of a backrest but it’s great for moving it around. The chair is height adjustable with a decent range and works like an ordinary office chair. All in all, this is light weight yet high-quality shop stool that I am beyond pleased with!
