I have two other rolling shop seats made by FreakyFit, so this model would now be my third. Although all three variants are different designs, they do have a few commonalities. The first would be a high-quality, robust construction in terms of durability and ruggedness. From the wheels, to the steel materials, these are solidly built shop-seats, and I have no concerns about their longevity. This particular model is simple, and built tough.I would also say that all three of the models I own have quality seating materials that wear well in a workshop environment, but also, are comfortable on the backside when working on projects. This model has something of a small backrest/support (if you want to call it that). The seat is comfortable, but in my opinion, it could use a little more cushioning material to maximize comfort and to minimize fatigue. The backrest (perhaps it is called a seat-bump), although not very substantial, does actually provide a little bit of support, and I appreciate it being there versus not having it at all.Assembly is a breeze and should not require any tools. The wheels are already installed on the frame, and all you have to do is place the pneumatic cylinder into the frame, and then the seat on top of the cylinder – that’s it – assembly complete and you are ready to roll, literally and figuratively. I did have an issue installing the seat as the adjustment handle was not working properly. I removed the four bolts that hold the mount to the base of the seat and was able to correct the problem in short order as the adjustment handle sort of fell out of the clasps that provide a hinge for it to pivot on. I suspect the shipping process may have tweaked it. The good news is that the design is simple, and it was easy to address. The wheels on the seat are larger than what you typically see on lower cost creeper-seats. They have a firm but rubbery feel to them, and I do believe they have ball-bearings pressed into them. They roll smoothly and have some ability to deal with less-than-ideal operating surfaces. Don’t get me wrong here – you aren’t going to be able to wheel around in the grass, but a driveway, even in less than good condition, and certainly garage concrete floors are going to be fine, including dealing with low-nap garage mats like I have on my workshop floor. The same goes for patio paver blocks – you can get around on them as long as they aren’t too out of whack. Also, two of the wheels have locking mechanisms that you can engage with your foot. For those who may need that feature, they do work, but I don’t have any need for that capability. The seat has quite a bit of height adjustment. When bottomed out, the seat cushion feels extra firm because there is no “give” in the pneumatic cylinder at that point, so I usually just go a touch higher so the pneumatic cylinder can act as a cushion/buffer. It probably goes without saying, but the seat also rotates independently of the base. As for under seat storage, there is a decent bit of space, sort of two levels if you will. The upper metal tray area lends itself to larger items that won’t fall through the mesh to the lower tray, while that lower plastic tray works well for fasteners and smaller parts.I think that from a build quality perspective, including durability and the wheels, that this is a high quality, tough product. The seat is comfortable, but my preference would be to have some more material for cushioning. The height adjustability is excellent, and so too is the storage. Keep in mind, there’s a lot of subjectivity depending on your preferences and such, but this is a well-made setup. I think the price, currently at $130, is competitive.

This chair is super easy to set up and works great. Very comfy and sturdy. I have always wanted a shop chair and not that I have one its a game changer. I also like the spots under the chair to hood your tools. I am 230 lbs and its very sturdy with me sitting on it. Highly recommend

This is a very practical shop seat for a lot of different applications. Well built, sturdy, and secure. There is almost no assembly required. It adjusts to a wide range for my needs. The adjustment handle appears to be not attached correctly but I used a zip-tie to fix it until I remove the seat to figure out the exact issue. It's fairly comfortable with a padded seat. I like the locking roller wheels. If you like to use the railing to proper your feet, you need to be careful not to place them on the plastic tray on the bottom as it's not meant for weighted loads. I can't believe I've lived this long without having something like this in my garage/workbench.

I spent a long time searching for a rolling stool that is suitable for my garage work. This stool completely meets my expectations. Comfortable seat, 360 ° swivel, silent rolling wheels, and adjustable height of 19.5 to 25 inches. Worth the money!
