I have purchased three of these Ronin visors over the years, and been pretty happy with them, overall. The visors themselves are fantastic. They're scratch and fog resistant, and will last quite a while if you take care of them. I keep a soft cheesecloth to wipe any sweat off during games, and store my helmet in a helmet bag,. I have had this particular one for 2 years and it's still perfectly clear. I am not wild about the cut of the visor itself though. I had an E7 "wave" way back and loved it. With this one, I have tried all sorts of things to get it to work better for me, but the way it's cut, the edge of the lens is always right in the way... up close, down low in the corner, cuts off peripheral vision... it's super annoying. For me, the wave or the straight cut were the way to go.My chief complaint with all of these is the mounting system. It's pretty janky. The visors are far wider than they need to be. Rather than having giant spacers, just make the visor smaller. These are wider than an XL helmet and having everyone squish em down to get em to fit seems dumb... maybe slim them down a bit to a more reasonable size. Next, the fasteners are not ideal. The fasteners are not stainless so they rust like crazy. They send multiple lengths of screws and t-nuts. Bauer and CCM have gone to a special t-nut that fits into a slot on the helmet which keeps them from spinning... these guys should do the same; have custom fasteners made for the kit or just cut the screw holes on the visor and plastic mounting blocks smaller to eliminate the need for a chicago-screw/t-nut altogether. Once mounted, the visor has a little up/down play, but not excessively so.Overall, I am pleased with the quality of the visor itself (though this particular shape doesn't really work for me), I just wish the mounting system was better.

The visor is priced well and fits my helmet great. It doesn't look out of place and the adapter hardware worked just like it was intended.

I have had two ronin visors the X5 and the X3. I dinged up the X5 in a fight a year ago and have the X3 on my bucket now. This visor saved my face. I got hit in the face by a stick last night. It would have cracked me right in the nose and broke it for sure. Only thing that happened was it has a tiny little scratch on it and I busted my lip. Buying 2 more for back ups and will keep buying them for sure!

It’s a nice visor for the price. Extremely hard to put on tho. It replaced my CCM visor that came down to the top of my lip and I didn’t like that. This visor comes right to the bottom of my nose and is clear. There are 5 settings depending on how far you want the visor to stick out. I have it paired with an entry level CCM 50 helmet and it matches perfectly. Unlike most other visors, these have 5 different holes on the right and left side for you to bolt down to the helmet whereas majority of other visors just has a slit and moves about forwards and backwards. I didn’t like that from my CCM VR14’s I replaced because they moved around a lot and there was no way to lock the visor down without cracking the plastic. The 5 settings on this visor are nice. I have mine set at the second hole facing the front and not the back. I am glad I got this. My search for visors is finally over.
