I’ve been water bath canning for probably 25-30 years. Filling a canning pot and moving it to the stove is a pain! I purchased this electric water bath canner several months ago. It has gotten a work out this summer! I absolutely love it. It’s so much easier! I have a canning area in my garage, so set it on the countertop next to the sink, fill it and plug it in. No more hefting heavy pots. It also holds more jars - that’s a definite plus with all of the canning I do. It’s well worth the money.

This is the first time we have used this product. I was always concern about putting the heavy canners on my glass top stove. We placed the electric canner on a table in are screen in porch. This is keeping the heat and steam outside. I am able to fit 8 quarts not the usual 7 quarts in a stove top canner. So far it works great! 8/10/2024

I like the size, it holds enough jars for my home canning, without heating up the house.

The light is to go out when temp is reached , doesn't. They want me to pay to send there defective product back and a restocking fee

I'll try adding a video with my next use. I loved having the ability to be away from the stove. I was so excited about the temperature control and not watching the pot, but the light that is supposed to go out when you reach that rapid boil, did not ever go out. I eventually got my thermometer to check it. Went ahead and set the time for another 30 minutes for process. It never did go out. So, that convenience is not there. I've probably over processed tonight's canning. That said, it does have advantages, mostly the drain at the sink. Mine seemed to drain fine. You can flip the faucet around and it will go out without your having to hold it for several minutes. Lid did fit well and maximized heat up time. It says to leave it on rapid boil for the entire process time. That would over cook some things. Normally we turn it down just a tad to prevent siphoning.
