I am in construction and fall protection is a must for nearly all of the jobs we do. When it comes to your life, you should have high expectations, and I had those when I first saw this rope grabber.First of all, it was pretty easy to install- just pass your rope through and adjust to your needs. For those new to harnesses/ropes, you may need to do some research first as the instructions are vague and not much help. It comes fitted with double locks, which is pretty cool.Second of all, it really works great. I weigh 170lbs and it was easy to move around on steep pitched roofs with smooth sliding when open, and hard locking when pulled on.Overall, this company takes safety seriously with the care and effort they put into their design, while maintaining an extremely affordable price. Other than the slightly annoying/vague instructions, I am really pleased!

When your in a tree on a roof or anywhere off the ground safety is key and this rope grab fulfills that need for safety. It is easy to install and moves well when your moving but cinches down if you go the wrong way..... Down.

My husband is on our roofs quite often. This gives me a piece of mind know he will be safe. This seems to grip the rope well and works well. Easy to use and will keep you safe. Well worth the money.

I haven't used one of these before, but I should have. It took a while to figure out, and I think that the placement on the safety harness will be crucial. I spend too much time on extension ladders. I have been lucky so far. This should help if my luck runs out.

I was a little skittish to order this given the price in comparison to the ones you typically find locally, and the fact that someone's life could literally depend on the quality, but so far it seems to be well made. It's heavy & mechanically simple, and designed for the most common fall protection rope size (5/8"). Hopefully we will never have the chance to test it's capacity in a real-life situation, but from all appearances it looks like this will do the job

This is a low cost fall arrestor rope grab device. The all metal device is easily added to a 5/8" safety rope. The spring loaded keeper will make for easy adjustment along the length of the safety rope. It will also automatically firmly grab the rope and help to arrest a fall incident. The device comes with a manual that is for a fall arrest belt system that has little explanation of how to use the actual device (minus one star). You can look online at videos for using this type of device. I plan to use mine while painting my house this spring and staying safe.Would recommend this to anyone.

Looked at these at the few places that they are available here locally, and they run between $100 and $200 here. I live next to a national park which may or may not matter but . . things are getting to be like Alaska expensive here. This fall arrester is a solid bit of machinery at a very reasonable cost. Great value. All the stars.
