This is a nicely put-together hand saw. Using a saw like that is never "easy" since it'll always be a bit awkward but it does well what it was designed to do. Definitely glad I have it. It's bailed me out of rough situations where nothing fit around that one branch--except this hand chain saw. It definitely cuts corners... get it? :)

The chain cut great, but the pull handles were not strong enough for the job. Sometimes, you gotta pull hard to move the chain. One of the included plastic handles broke on the first branch. I replaced them both with some aluminum workout handles. I also use 550 cord. The only thing I really needed was the chain.

The rope does not have a lot of friction resistance and the bag that is use to store the various items and to be used to throw the rope is coming apart at the seams after 8 to ten throws.

This is a handy manual chainsaw that is best suited for use in trimming high branches. I had thought it might work for other ground-level sawing tasks, but the chain is simply too long for those other tasks. Perfect for high branches though! Recommended.

This pocket chainsaw is well-made with good quality material. Very light weight, compact, and convenient. Just like a chainsaw without the weight, size, noise, but awesome for hiking, camping, or even mountain biking.Takes a little practice, but once you figure it out, it’s easy to use. Even my 5 foot short girlfriend can cut branches easily. Overall, very impressed and happy with the quality and functionality of this portable chainsaw kit!

The first thing to note are the included accessories that come with the kit. Everything packs into the included carrying case, which while thin and cheap, seems durable and should do its job well. Some basic work gloves keep blisters away, and the ropes mean you can toss the chain over high branches to cut them down without needing to climb higher up. The file is also a nice touch, though I have yet to use it. The saw has stayed clean and sharp in the time I've had it.Now on to the saw itself. The saw teeth were pre-oiled, and while not super sharp, seemed to be made of decent quality steel. The length is also nice, at just over 50 inches, and I had no issues handling decent size saplings. It cuts fast and smooth, as long as you make sure to cut straight. A chainsaw well outperform it in many ways, but then again, this isn't meant as a replacement for a chainsaw. This is an awesome little tool to take camping, or to handle saplings and smaller trees without spending 15 minutes hacking with a hatchet, or priming and starting up a chainsaw.At this price, I have no complaints, and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a portable and easy to use saw.

This hand-saw helped me clear some dead branches too high for a ladder. It is a good workout too. Just be careful, it made short work of one branch and I had to avoid it!
