Put in a ford transit. I would probably like it more if it was steering wheel mounted like the factory CC. Maybe that’s too involved.I put it in what seems like the same spot most do but because I have a swivel installed under the seat, it sits maybe 3/4” higher and now I have to pull the seat much closer than I normally would and my knee sometimes bumps the lever and turns off CC.I also wish CC worked while in manual shift mode because that’s how I drive if there are any hills. I have the 3.7 and I hate letting the van handle the downshifts and acceleration while using CC during those circumstances.

It works, but required advanced mechanical / electrical skills to professionally install and over-revs engine upon slightest incline causing pre-mature engine wear and excess fuel consumption.

Search on YouTube, some great videos and this installation is actually quite simple and quick. But the instructions that came with the product are absolute trash

Very simple to install... did not like the plug in connectors though, they seemed a bit loose. So I cut out the connectors and replaced them with 3m pinch connectors with silicone in them. Other than that it works fine just didn’t want a loose connection in the future to troubleshoot.

Buttons seam a little cheap and the light could be a little brighter, but this took under a hour to install and it works just as good as a factory system!Very happy with it.Thank you Rostra! You saved my leg and hip on those long trips

Installation on this was pretty straight forward. Installed this in Feb of this year and finally was able to travel for 2 weeks out west. Driving across the plains wasn't too bad, it stayed at the set speed and didn't fluctuate too much. However, once you get to even the slightest incline, the cruise will shift down 2 to 3 gears. Very hard on the transmission. When getting into the mountains it's even worst. I had to shut it off for most of our trip since we spent most of our time in the mountains or even in the desert where there are little hills to climb. The programming on the computer module I think is really bad. There is no reason that it should shift the transmission down 3 gears and almost max out on rpm's. When not using the cruise I was able to keep the transmission at low rpm's while maintaining the speed I wanted. It is nice having cruise control but this module only really works when it's very flat and a little bit of wind at your back. If your going against the wind, forget about it. Not worth the $300 in my opinion. We used this for our campervan, will never buy another van without factory cruise.

My application is a Ford Transit van. The control was easy to install and works well up to around 70 mph. At today's typical Interstate speeds of 75-80 mph, the control causes transmission kick down too soon and too hard on even moderate grades, but that's partly the fault of the vehicle's software. Other reviews also mention this, and the solution is to switch the transmission to manual shifting for the grades, which also disables the cruise control.
