They do show off whatever you want to display nicely. But the batteries don’t last much more than 24 hrs.

A lot of the glass items that I have in my house now sit on top of these and I love the way the light cascades through. I don’t seem to have any problem with battery life. They seemed to last a while and the color variations are really lovely and bright.

This is my second purchase of these and they are not what is pictured/described. They are not like the last set I purchased from this seller. These are a much cheaper product. Won't purchase them again.

Bought this because I was engraving 12x12 clear acrylic for display. Since this base is 11.8", it seemed perfect. The sheets fit in the slot, but because of the weight of the acrylic vs the (less) weight of the base, they simply fall over. The groove is also cut slightly larger (4mm) than the 3mm acrylic, which means it leans forward or backward in the base, adding to the "falling over" problem. I added some 3M heavy duty velcro to the bottom to get it to stay, so it works for the moment, but I'll be looking for other bases the next time I have a similar project.

I placed a crystal ball on this. It makes a beautiful night light.
