18 inch machete about inch to long for sheath, but can make it work, need a lining in the bottom to keep the machete from cutting through, the sheath my machete came in fits in it so should be okay,

I love the wide hook & loop strap at the top, the 4 straps with snaps closures, the loops for hooking a shoulder strap & the little pockets but it doesn't hold an 18" machete.I bushwack & trim trails & I mostly use the 18' machete from the store that has the parking lot sale every weekend. I'm looking for a sheath that I can carry & mount to my bike. I like the strapping options of this sheath but as the picture shows it isn't long enough for an 18" machete. I will try to keep the handle strap tight but the blade is supported at the tip & eventually the blade will cut through the material at the bottom.
