The netting is great for keeping flies and gnats off your face. The baseball cap part is of good quality.The only negative (and this is to be expected) is that the netting does negatively impact your vision. I use it when I cut the grass on my stand-up mower and the netting makes it hard to see the lines of where I cut on the last pass.

We have 43 acres we go to often, and in the spring the nats come out of the tall grass and pester us. I found this and a boony hat for my wife, and they sure do the trick. I thought it would bug me (pun intended) by it rubbing on my face and neck, but I can't feel anything. Also, the buzzing in my ears is gone since they can't get close enough to cause that. And although I can see them outside of the mesh, I've not felt one touch me. I'm assuming it's stopping mosquitoes too, since I'm not getting buzzed by them. My wife likes hers, too. I wish mine would fold up into the hat like hers does, but when I want the mesh out of the way, I just fold it back over the top of the hat and let it hang, or take it off. I was skeptical, but I love this when it's needed!

Very difficult to see through mesh net. It has to do with the color of the net. I have a hat with black mesh net I can see through without any problems but this one is very difficult, especially in bright sunlight. Hat is nice.

Works perfectly to keep black flies out of your face when outdoors.... add a little mist of DEET (Deep Woods OFF )and Bugs bug you no more. Good fit . Light weight. Full size hat not a just a skimpy yamaka like some.

Overall the net cap did its job. My problem is the mesh is so tightly woven that it reduces the distance of your field of vision. I used it for hiking on Mt. Rainier when the mosquitos were terrible, while it did keep the skeeters out of my face it impaired my vision enough that I walked a little slower and paid attention to my foot placement better.
