During the roasting process, trussing the meat, especially larger whole animals, to the spit is as important as anything else in ensuring a successful roast.
If the meat is not properly secured, it can begin to "wobble" during the cooking process, causing undue stress on the motor or even causing the meat to loosen and fall off the spit.

We have a rotisserie with a set of prongs but often we want to cook two chickens at a time when the family is here. These prongs fit perfect on the one we have, so summer grilling just got better, x 2!*As an Amazon Vine member I select products personally to review. This is perfect for a slow roast BBQ outdoors and is the best way to cook meat, they are easy to clean and cool down quickly after cooking.I recommend this product.

I ordered this $26 set of two Hdwysy rotisserie-fork U-bolts (Amazon ASIN B0DS1X2TP1, model HDP15-2) because in a month I will be on a beach campout where each group will be cooking for about a dozen fathers and kids in the YMCA Adventure Guides. This will definitely be a hit for the pig roast.When they arrived, I was pleased to see the impressive build quality of the bolts and wingnuts. They can handle 150 pounds, which is more than I will need.To its credit, the backing plate is very large, which is the important aspect. Only the backing plate was a tad rough on the edges. Literally, everything else was smooth, well-made, and sturdy. For those rough edges, I will simply take the plate and lightly grind (or file) the edges all around so that nobody cuts themselves; but that's a very minor point that I won't even deduct points for, because it doesn't change how these rotisserie clamps work. It's the only thing I can find that is not perfect about this set of roasting rotisserie meat holders.Speaking of sharp edges, these rotisserie spit clamps have points. Of course, the point is to spear the meat, which is why they're sharpened at the tips. The threads are reasonably neatly cut. And the material is 304 stainless steel, which means the bolts are corrosion-resistant in high-temperature grilling environments.I don't yet know the diameter of the rotisserie spit rod at the beach campout, so it's good to know that these bolts have a spit rod capacity of 2.7 inches. Now I know what to ask the camp coordinator when it's time to plan the evening meal (for which I'm responsible for handling the logistics).Overall, this is a nice, high-quality set of two heavy-duty, 304 stainless steel meat skewers in the U-bolt style, designed to securely fasten large cuts of meat, like a whole pig, to a rotisserie spit rod up to 2.7 inches wide for even grilling. If you rotisserie you need this, full stop. It really puts a stop to the spinning or moving around of a big piece of meat. It really puts it on your rod and makes it more stable.
