Tent is awesome really well manufactured i have it on a 2023 tacoma limited with a kb voodoo mid height back rack. THE ONLY COMPLAINT I HAVE I wish they drilled a few more holes for the ladder section so you could adjust the angle in which the weight of the tent sits on.

Over 45 mph the cover expands like a hot air ballon. I wouldn’t have noticed unless someone send me this pic. I’ve tried strapping it better and using the provided Velcro attachments.I’m sure the cover will eventually rip if this keeps up.

Had to drill a hole bigger during setup but it’s worth it !

Once you figure out how it works, the tent is pretty awesome. Used it 4 times since purchased and it's much better than a ground tent for 2 adults. The pad is a bit firm, so I'd recommend some kind of thin air mattress. The institutions are not clear, and what to do with the elastic cords or how to close it aren't clearly explained. I downloaded Smittbuilt instructions for the same tent and it was much clearer. I can now open and close the tent with my wife in under 5 min.

09/25/2021I used the tent again last night, and two of the LED lights on the included light strip have already gone out after about an hour of total use. Also, the metal zippers (of which there are 24) clank together, which bugged me a bit the first time but kept me up for quite a while last night. I don't think it'd cost too much more for Rough Country to put some rubber covers on the zippers in house. I will be ordering some here soon.09/12/2021It's my first rooftop tent, so I was shopping on the cheaper side for one. I've had it for three months now and finally had the opportunity to use it this weekend. Like other tents I've read reviews on, I was able to fit two sleeping bags and two pillows with it folded back up, making setup a breeze. The first night I used it, we got to camp late and I had to set it up in the dark and in the rain, but it still only took about 7 minutes or so. We had some fierce winds the first night as well in Montana, with gusts around 40 mph. I'm rather impressed that we didn't blow off the roof. The tent says it's rated for 600 lbs, which I've gotten my dad and I in there, putting it to the test at about 430 lbs and it held.Overall, it's been a decent tent, although the 2" pad included is more firm than what my wife and I are used to sleeping on, so we will probably get another pad to put on top.

The tent itself is good and it's not hard to install. However they sent mine without all the required mounting brackets to install it on the rails of my bed rack, so now I have to go to Lowes and hope they have something that will work.

For the price its great. Spent 5 nights in it back to back and overall very impressed with build quality and mattress comfort. Easily fits 3, maybe 4 adults. Comes with all the issues you’d expect to have with a RTT by design (Wind noise/ condensation build up). Took a bit to initially assemble but you only do it once. Had a small issue with rack mounting hardware (t-slide brackets were stripping). I was able to work around it. Glad I didn’t spend more on a hardtop or clamshell. If you’re planning on dropping 3 grand on a tent I’d just send a camper. If RTTs are your thing Rough Country RTT is a solid buy.
