The Milwaukee 5615-21 churns through wood as well as any router in its class, but it's not the powerful 11 amp motor, the 100-percent-sealed bearing construction, or even the durable, machined-aluminum motor housing and base that make this router unique. No, it's Milwaukee's revolutionary BodyGrip design, which enables you to strap your hand in, grab hold, and guide the router with far more control and accuracy than the competition's standard-handled models. A wide 6-inch base and 2-1/2-inch opening provide a clean line of sight, and well-designed controls allow depth for easy adjustments as small as 1/64 of an inch. Of course, Milwaukee's 5615-21 performs equally well under the table. In fact, above-the-table depth adjustments make height modifications a breeze. --Carl Thress

When I searched for the best, this came up. So far so good. Good workmanship, sturdy machines, two collets 1/8 & 1/4.

Great router for handheld useage... I had bought one 12 years ago and it finally gave out. Hope this new one last as long!

I've only used this minimally, but I absolutely love it. Lots of power and very easy to change bits and depth adjustment. The only other router I've owned was a craftsman from about 25 years ago. This one far exceeds that dinosaur. I've got nothing bad to say about this router !

I am a cabinet and furniture maker and own many different brands and sizes of routers and I like this one best for bench work, mainly because of the hand strap. The strap gives me a better feel of control than any of my other routers so I use this one most. I just happened to find it at Costco one time for $138.00 so I couldn't pass it up. Glad I got it ! It's not as refined as my Dewalt 3 HP but it's lighter and easier to use for most tasks.

Having always been "afraid of routers" I waited until I was 70 years old to get this one. Easy to use, simple instructions to understand, and my first project was completed a day after receipt. I should have not waited so long, but am glad that I did so I could get this very nice addition to my shop.

I have always believed in spending a little more money to get a higher quality tool that will last for a fair amount of time and Milwaukee has had a reputation of making if nothing else a high quality motor for their tools. well I bought this routher about 6 years ago when it first came out and it worked great for the first 6 years. I am an ocational wood worker........router got used a dozen time a year average. Then one day when routing a channel in some wood it started to smoke and make the worst noises, then with a big flash of blue electrical light it quit. So much for milwaukee having great electrical motors. I'm still on the fence if I will by another milwaukee product again. Sad, but I have to have a tool that will last me more than 6 years will the kind of use I put behind it.

I purchased this router a couple of months ago and attached it to a MLCS router plate so that I could use it in my table saw extension. I used it yesterday for the first time and was very disapointed in the amount of vibration this router has. It is so bad the leveling screws for the plate vibrated completely out and the guide pin that I use when using bits with bearings vibrated out (twice) and over into the spinning bit then shot off into my yard. I never could find the pin. Also in order to use the height adjustment through the base plate you have to remove one of the handles because the screw holding it in is too long. No big deal if you leave it in a router table but a pain if you take it out to use it by hand. This router has some neat features but I wouldn't recomend this router until they solve these problems. I have seen several other reviews about the excessive vibration.
