Didn't like the fact it's a bundle order with the Rowell heavy silver trumpet! No option to just buy the trumpet! Awesome trumpet but don't like the fact that you can't just buy the trumpet! The top trumpet caps that hold the valves in place are poorly machined and don't stay on ! It's ok. I replaced the top value caps with ones i already have! Other than that it's a wonderfully made trumpet! Great tone and not as bright as sound as a regular trumpet is! More of a richer tone! Sounds awesome! 👍 If your looking for a heavy trumpet with a richer sound and valve as good as a professional trumpet that costs several thousands of dollars it's really worth the price for this trumpet! ☺️ valves are smooth and are one piece monal valves! I use a trick I've known for years now! Use Some 1000 grit fine sandpaper and sand the valves to make them smooth and the valves will be very smooth and work much better! 👍

This ROWELL Trumpet Hand Guard is a shaped guard that wraps around a trumpet valve cluster to protect the finish from skin oils and movement wear. There is velcro sewn onto the guard that meets to hold it firmly in place on the instrument. When in place, the guard covers the usual points of left hand contact and right thumb contact.When I was in college, I spent several hours a day holding my trumpet while practicing, rehearsing ang performing. Some players have used a handkerchief to hold the horn, but that method is not as protective. It allows the trumpet to slip since is not attached, and is therefore not always in place to 'grag and go'. The ROWELL guard is a 2 layer device that keeps hand oils away from the instrument.The listing says the guard "... is made of high-quality leather..." THAT IS FALSE! It is vinyl, or some dirivitive of vinyl, NOT LEATHER! This is now typical of sellers to use some terms like "vegan leather" or "PU leather" as LIES to attempt to fool consumers. THIS IS NOT ACTUAL LEATHER! And, it possesses almost none of the great properties of real, true leather.The fit is pretty good on both a New York Bach and an Elkhart Bach, your mileage may vary.

I really like this trumpet valve guard. It is a soft leather on the outside and a velvet like texture against the horn. I play at church and practice about 30 minutes a week. This is a comfy addition. There is even a horizontal piece of leather where the top of my left hand rests against the bell and for my right thumb against the lead pipe. The lacquer is rubbing off in both of those places.
