This grill is light weight. It takes a while to put together. If you are not mechanically inclined, pay to have it installed. The striker has not worked yet.I gave up on it and I am using a long lighter. Other than that it works great.

Ordered this grill on March 10th. The first time I used it I could not pre heat above 375 degrees. Contacted Royal Gourmet. Rep indicated the regulator was probably defective and shipped new regulator with hose. I replaced the regulator and can now pre heat to 600 degrees. Customer service was very helpful and understanding.

It looks like is stainless steel all around but is NOT. Just the top part, it will rust fast.The burner covers are to small they don’t cover well the burner. To much space between them. The bottom cover to the tank base is not cover not good for a windy day.

I do the BBQing in the family. The one I had worked but struggled with lighting, and my husband would need to light it for me so I could BBQ. I finally told him I needed a new one for Mother's Day, and he surprised me with this BBQ. It was easy to learn how to cook the perfect steak, and I am very happy with it.

First, if you're looking for a grill with a real sear burner, look elsewhere. This is NOT a sear burner, it's just a high output regular burner with a wider flame tamer. That's my own fault for not reading the description and the other reviews more carefully. That aside, a major component (the "cart front beam", which holds the tops of the doors in place) came with the holes drilled in the wrong place on the right side, requiring me to drill new holes in order to complete assembly. Not an insurmountable problem, but one that shouldn't have happened. Although the grill was securely packaged, both side panels were badly bent and the stainless steel parts had numerous dents, scratches, and dings. This must have occurred at the factory, as there was no shipping damage at all. On the plus side, the grill works, comes up to temperature, and does a decent job, but the flame tamers are VERY narrow, with wide gaps between them. Overall, this is a mediocre product.UPDATE: After using this grill through the summer, I'm downgrading it to 1 star. The BTU ratings for this grill must be wildy inaccurate, because it simply doesn't cook or char anything in any reasonable amount of time. It just doesn't get hot enough. Even cooking burgers takes forever, and they come off the grill looking like they've been steamed instead of char broiled. A very disappointing purchase. Don't waste your money.

Unfortunately the package arrived with damaged parts as you see in the pics. Also, many dents. For the way the fame was bent, it made difficult the assembly. For a moment I just thought to return it, but I finally managed to assemble it. For now 3 starts, I will change it depending on how it works. I haven’t used it yet.
