This size 50 Filbert is made of extra-stiff bone taklon for heavy-body oil and acrylic. The synthetic bristles are attached to a klim-dried, 7-inch hardwood handle by a nickel-plated brass seamless ferrule. Very durable and will last through many painting sessions.

When I ordered this brush, I couldn't make up my mind whether to buy a 50 or a 38 (I think). When the brush arrived today, I was astonished at how big the brush head is, but that's a good thing! It does say 'Jumbo!' I haven't yet used it but I can see that my work will be cut right down as this will hold more paint, and cover a larger surface area. What I do like about the Royal and Langnickel brushes is that there is very little to no shedding, which is a annoying with some other 'knock off' brushes made to look like RnL.

One of the best affordable for this size. Long handle, bristles stay put. Great to use and easy to wash out.
