Perfect kit for my MerCruiser 350 Mag. Took care of not getting water to through my system. This comes with the wear plates for the housing, this is usually what happens to your old housing, it wears out the ends and causing air to cavitate the pump. When this happens, you will not suck any water up through your earmuffs, this kit fixes that issue. Don' t be turned off from the plastic housing, it is fine, it has metal wear plates that the rubber water pump circulates on.

This is the 2nd one to install in our 21 year old wakeboard boat. We use our boat ALOT and when the steering gets hard we turn to this product.

The housing itself is good however everything else not so much. The bottom wear plate has a thin rubber backing that looks like it’s supposed to help hold it in place but it doesn’t. The o-ring that comes in the kit is formed wrong and is not usable. The impeller is .2mm bigger than the oem impeller. When installed it is much too hard to spin. After spinning the pulley by hand a few times I disassembled it and it already had signs of abnormal wear. I had to use a different impeller and o-ring

Kit has worked well so far-I just didn’t trust the impeller and used a merc impeller instead…this kit fixed a pump that was damaged by sand ….

Housings leak they are not flat had to use old housing take wear plate off new housing install on old no leaks, there are dips in the outer edges of these housings causing leaks had two of these tried both WITH GASKET SEAL still leaked lot of work wasted in and out four times GLM product also the blue plugs are so big it takes wrench to make sure o rings seat not user friendly

Well manufactured parts, assembly was easy. Seems like this kit will fix my sea water issues long term, but that will require a few months of operation to know. Hopefully RPS will sell the stainless steel wear plates separately so this entire kit is not needed in the future.
