The size of the bottom of this press is great. Its worked for different size burgers. The stainless steel is easy to clean and the etched letter looks great. The handle was a little loose when we got it but we were able to tighten it up. My only real complaint is that the wood feels rough. and the more you use it the rougher it gets. Other than that its a great product.

This stainless steel burger press would make a nice gift. It looks really nice. But unfortunately, the edges of the metal are not chamfered, leaving a rather sharp edge. Not so sharp that you will cut yourself, but it would have been nice to be a little more refined. The engraving looks nice, it's a nice personalized touch. The handle on the other hand needs to be sanded. I guess for the price, since it is somewhat personalized, its nice, but could use some refinement.

I am currently working on some new smash burgers as a concept for a client of mine. They wanted to put 3 on their menu, though wanted to do traditional style, where you put the ball of meat on the flat top and smash it down with a press. I have tried a few different ones now, and this one works perfectly. I was able to get an even flat press and get the crispy edges that are part of a classic smash burger. The handle stayed nice and cool, even with the plate got hot, which was a huge bonus. Now I do have a few things to note. As with any press, you want to season the plate before you start using it, otherwise the meat will stick a little. I heated this one up and gave it a good rub with beef tallow (my preference). Also after you wash it, you want to make sure you oil it up again before use.Taking it to the restaurant so we can use it there. Looking forward to making a lot of great smash burgers with it.

I was torn between two and three stars on this product but gave them the benefit of the doubt because the press works just fine for its intended purpose of making smash burgers. However, beware of the following:1) I immediately got a splinter from the handle when I took it out of the package. I felt around the rest of the handle and there were at least three other spots I would've gotten more splinters from if I hadn't learned from the first experience. However, I was able to sand the handle down with fine grit sandpaper and it's fine now.2) Aside from the little lip of wood at each end and the wood screw securing the handle, the design isn't super sturdy. I unscrewed the handle and there's no metal dowel through it or anything, just a 1 inch wood screw in each end. It's fine now but I don't know how durable this design will be vs. some other competing products.3) The laser marking is rather low contrast and not super high quality. I'm a bit of a laser snob as I used to work in the industry, so take this one with a grain of salt. But I wasn't impressed. All in all, the press works, but it's not my favorite.

I’ve cooked my fair share of burgers with this press and can confidently say it is decent. The handle is a little rough which doesn’t give the best impression, but the monogrammed letter does give it quite the elegance. I wish the handle was like a walnut or just smooth to compliment the nice monogram.Using the press is simple enough and it works as designed. Producing a flat thin burger that cooked evenly. I have even using it to make some grilled cheeses that came out even better than before, so I can appreciate that at least. Cleaning the press was easy thanks to it being stainless steel, it washed right up. With the handle being wood, throwing it in the dishwasher is ill advised.Overall the press is nice, with a touch of elegance, and works as intended.

When I get a package of ground beef from the grocery store, I'll usually freeze half for later use with pasta dishes, and cook the other half into burgers for lunch. I had been forming the burgers by hand into patties, with mixed results in size and consistency and uniformity. Then I came across this item, and I was skeptical about its use, but it does make a difference is getting a burger patty formed that is not too thick, and that spreads out to the edges of the bun. Apparently some refer to this as a "smash burger" but I just thought this is how a regular burger should ideally be? Like you get at a fast food place.I don't understand the point of the monogram, but that is neither here nor there. Easy to clean, easy to hold.

Overall, this is made of good quality. The stainless steel is sturdy and easy to clean. However, when I got it, I noticed the handle was a bit unstable, so I tighten the screws. I had the same problem with the handle being a little wobbly a couple days later, and I hadn't used it yet. It's solid and can get the job done. However, I don't think it's worth the listing price. I do appreciate the size though. You can smash a bunch of burgers to your heart's content! Though the handle is a bit questionable, it's easy to grip and fits comfortably in my hands.
