These tuners feature a thumbwheel locking function to keep your strings securely in place. This prevents string slippage and also enables you to cut off your excess string. You don't have to wrap the string around the posts several times like you do with an non locking machine tuner. Simply thread the string though the hole in the peg, then twist the thumbwheel to secure it in place. Simple and effective, and speeds up re-stringing.
The new sleek design and smooth 1:18 gear ratio give you a great combination of tuning stability, accuracy and good looks.
These tuners have a sealed housing & mounting screw hole at 45 degrees.

A fairly decent upgrade.For the price (about $25) these are decent locking tuners. If you're looking to upgrade to locking tuners and don't want to break the bank, these will work for you.The locking mechanism (threads on a post) turn smoothly and hold the sting securely. The tuning peg rotates easily yet keeps the strings in tune.No blemishes or pits in the finish, they look nice.Great set of locking machine heads.

I am very impressed with this set of locking guitar tuners. The black finish is smooth and looks great. They work and feel as good as any tuners that I have bought for twice the price.
