These are as described and feel like good quality out of the bag. They’re large enough to fit over any standard large trash can - city bins or otherwise - and can be twisted in half to create a tighter fit for smaller cans or other uses. They feel strong and secure, like they’ll hold up to tension without slipping.While they’re marketed for trash cans, I could see these having a lot of other uses - anywhere you need a large, durable rubber strap to hold something in place. They're basically just big rubber bands after all so your imagination is the limit. Super functional with that in mind - I love their versatility.They aren’t one continuous molded piece, though. The loop is held together by some kind of connector (not exactly sure what), and I’m not entirely sure how that will hold up long-term. I’ll update the review if that seam fails early, but so far they seem solid. Thick as well; no complaints. They do not feel as though they'll snap trying to get them around an object.At $15, the price feels fair to high given the strength and potential versatility. For now, it’s an easy 5 stars based on first impressions and performance - it does exactly what it says and more.

I ordered this pack of 12 large rubber bands to hold the 95 gallon garbage bags in our extra large garbage can. They come in two sealed bags, of 6 bands each. The last time we ordered garbage bags, they did not include rubber bands, so the old rubber band was getting brittle and was ready to break. These rubber bands are just the right size and hold the garbage bag in place, just as the old rubber bands did, and you only need one rubber band at a time, so these will last for a long time. With these rubber bands, the garbage bag doesn’t slide down in the can.

These trash bin rubber bands were a great find, as I'm growing weary of the random neighbor dropping their half-consumed quick-stop cappuccino into my trash bin on trash day, requiring a complete and total clean-out lest we start our own ant farm.Went hunting for the proper bags and was able to order them, then after a good washing and drying (leave a sprinkling of zeolite powder in the bottom of your bin to absorb any "between the bag and can" odors), was able to deploy "Mission Trash Can Protection 2025."These work great - stretchy enough to go around without worrying you're going to get a rubber band snap to your hands.They hold the bags just fine - my bin tapers, so depending on how much "neck" you have left over on your bag, you can go with more or less tension based on how high up the can you place your rubber band.I live in the semi-arid desert, so all plastics and rubbers endure a workout here. If these hold up even through the end of summer, it's still a fantastic value, as cleaning out the trash bin takes a bit of time and I have neighbors giving me the stink-eye for using that much water to do so (they can get the stink-eye right back for installing heat-sinks of gravel close to my house, raising my AC bill every summer).Of course you never catch the culprit who dumped their not-fully slurped slurpy into your trash can, but at least you have one line of defense against this kind of insensitivity and some insurance in these large bands to keep your trash can as it should be - less of a biosphere.Good find!

I hate it when the trash can liner slides down into the can and these rubber bands work great to keep that from happening. They fit great on the big cans, but they also work well on smaller cans too. I have sever 30 gallon cans that these work well on by doubling the bands over.The only thing that may be a weakness is that these are not one piece bands. The ends have been fused together and I will be curious to see how well they hold up.I do recommend and I would buy these bands again.

I liked the idea of these right away—they’re well-made, heavy-duty rubber bands that can stretch around my large city trash and recycle bins. In theory, they’re a smart way to hold down trash bags, especially in windy areas. But in practice, the design has a few limitations.First, they depend on the shape of your bin. For best results, you need a lip or ridge all the way around the bin to keep the band from sliding up. Many bins (including mine) have uneven designs, hinge mechanisms, or elevated patterns on the surface that make it hard for the band to grip properly—especially at the back near the hinges. On both bins I tried, the band only worked with some creative positioning.Second, the band isn’t a continuous loop. It’s joined at one point, likely glued, which concerns me a bit—especially outdoors under sun exposure. I’ll be watching to see if the joint holds over time.Lastly, a word of caution: if the band slips off unexpectedly, it can snap back with force. It happened to me twice while testing, and once it hit my face. Definitely handle with care.I’m still using them, and I like the concept, but results may vary depending on your specific bin design. This product has potential, but it’s not one-size-fits-all.

These are different from ones I have gotten in the past. They are not as wide and they are not a continuous loop like regular bands. They are a long, flat, band that is connected with some type of glue. The glued part does not stretch. This does not affect the use and they still perform as they should. They are VERY stretchy. We used some of them around some plastic chest of drawers to keep the drawers from popping out while being used.
