I am using this thumb rest cushion on one of my Selmer clarinets, and it is extremely comfortable, especially if you are a doubler and accustomed to the feel of a sax thumb rest. This reminds me of the feel of a Selmer sax thumb rest. Having a large grip surface, this cushion adds stability to the instrument resting on the right thumb (when playing G in the chalumeau register, the entire weight of the clarinet is precariously balanced on the right thumb, which is why I've started using a neck strap). I also am experimenting with an after-market adjustable thumb rest, and this cushion works great, and stays on fairly securely (make sure your thumb rest cork is in good condition). I have tried a number of the smaller profile cushions which are less comfortable, less secure, and fall off easily. Keep in mind, you have to remove this particular cushion before returning the instrument to the case, because of its bulk your case won't close properly. I don't know it there are multiple manufacturers of this, but several are available on Amazon. The two-for-one seemed like a better deal for me. As far as I can tell, they are all of about the same quality.

It's not expensive and works okay. I gave one to a clarinet pal and she likes it too.
