Product not meant for truck flares. To small of channel to get good bond on flare. Very flimsy. Meant for very thin trim

I have a vehicle that was worn weatherstripping around some ground effects areas that needed replacing, this was perfect for the job. The self-adhesive is extremely good on this roll, I wasn't expecting it to stick as well as it did and was very happy about it.The material is a nice smooth rubber that can fit on any vehicle panel edge that doesn't have any other trim or effects added to it. Connecting it to the metal edge with the adhesive area give the appearance of a angled piece of trim that presses into the outside of the vehicle panel. For a better view of my explanation check the pictures included on the sale page, they show how they are fitted to your vehicle. There are a ton of applications you can use this for on your vehicle, not just for flared fenders. 5 Stars, Nice Roll of Trim!

Remove old trim from edge. Clean edge to remove old adhesive or surface irregularities. Apply this new rubber edge trim using the adhesive backing. The tapered edge of this new trim looks so much better than the old trim. Adhesive grips well on smooth surface.

Used this on a 3gen 4runner flares. The channel is pretty thin on this and almost did not work. Tape kind of sucks but if you clean your flares with acetone or alcohol until you get no black residue on the towel it should stick good Plus your are bolting it to the vehicle and the flares themselves will hold this in place once bolted on. I also took a toothpick and put a small amount of Trim and emblem glue in the channel just to help it along. You must warm this up either with a Hair dryer or heat gun on low setting. Don't melt it just clip it down on one side and warm it up and lightly pull on it till it straightens out. If you try to use it right out of the package you will be frustrated. If I had to do it again I would buy the next size channel up 3.5mm rather than this 3.0mm I think it would have been easier. Otherwise take your time and work it. It does work.

This took me a while to figure out the best way to install it. I’ve used many similar trims in the past and this was by far the most challenging to install. Especially if you don’t want visible scratches on the rubber. My fender flares are thick and high quality. This definitely made the install more challenging. If you have thin flares, this will install with ease.Make sure you clean the surface area VERY WELL because the adhesive tape is tiny.
