The wide spout is perfect for pouring sand on my sidewalk in the Winter and small enough to lift full easily. A 5 gallon bucket of sand is a bit to heavy to handle and spread sand easily. Thickness of the bucket is adequate.Handle wire minimal thickness, cheap thin plactic roller at top.

Americans don't think in quarts, which is the trick here, so let me help you. This is 2.5 gallons, which is considered a SMALL bucket, so small that you will not be able to displace water via a mop or large sponges without a very small amount of water. Why don't they picture it with a human to get an idea of scale? You, like I, need minimum 5 gallon buckets, otherwise, what is the point of a bucket?

Who would know that you could love a mop bucket?! Well I find that I use this bucket for everything now. It really is my go to bucket because I know it isn't going to break. It is super thick and sturdy, unlike the ones you're used to seeing in the supermarket. To be honest, I don't use it for mopping, but I never planned to. I do think if you want to use it as an actual mop bucket you might be disappointed because unless you are using a rag mop or something of the sorts, you really won't be able to get your mop inside this thing, but it makes the best all purpose cleaning bucket you can find. I love it!

I am using this bucket to wash my cars. the size is just right and holds plenty of sudsy water. I also use it to keep the car soap, wash mitt and shammy in after washing the car...

It holds water (actually a mild acidic fluid) ! And has a great pouring beak! But unlike Amazon's usually good pricing, I found all the buckets I priced here on the high side compared to a B&M store. Perhaps it is the cost factor for shipping, even to a PRIME-ate, a lightweight item that requires a box which will contain a relatively high cubic volume item.
