Item was a good fit and works great. My old metal type floats were being damaged by the cattle. This style is a much better design and the cattle can’t damage the water connection.

I ordered two of these for my water troughs. Originally they both leaked. I had to add another washer and tightened them down. No issues now.

I can not understand why someone would trust a review from someone who unboxes it on delivery day. This product has been used for the last 6 months and has worked as it should. This product is sold at Tractor Supply for more money. We use it to water our cattle.

Rubbermaid makes a great product and this is one. Unfortunately they include a connector that goes from the valve to the hose you screw in. With any sideways tension the connector comes apart and the water will flow until your well runs dry. The connector is just built to fail. Terrible design.Ditch what they supply, go to the hardware store and buy a 6 inch hose extension with the spring tensioner built in. Leave it on as part of the valve.I have 2 valves. Both connectors broke. Almost lost my submersible pump. All's well now.
