Can't get easier than this. I have a GOBI rack and this fit well. Magnets work well.

Looks great gives a more finished look over stock, it's basically just a lid that fits over stock cap housing.Bolts directly into the plastic walls with self tapping screws, takes maybe 15 minutes to install with just a screwdriver.Build quality looks just ok not sure how it will stand up over the years with our corrosive Canadian winters the reason I gave it a 4 and not 5The hinge looks like an eventual weak spot for corrosion as it looks frail

I love this little gas cap cover. Does it sit perfectly flush against the paint of your jeep? No, but it blends in with the original cover so one could tell only if they were specifically looking for it. Magnet closure is strong. I've had mine for about a month. It has never even thought of opening. Very easy to put on with a simple phillip's head screwdriver. Took about two minutes to install. So far the black coat has been fine, so I can't speak for other's complaints on that situation as of yet. All I know is that it looks good and does the job.

Looks good on my jeep but thin casting and a weak hinge aren't confidence-building---looks as though accidently brushing the open door would break it off. In addition, the method of attachment to the vehicle is different than that implied by the promotional photo. In the photo, it appears that eight screws around the periphery hold the cover on. Not true---these "screws" are cast into the metal and are non-functional. Rather four tabs---pointing perpendicular & inward (with four screws)---are used to secure the cover to the plastic surrounding the filler tube. Since there is only 4 inches mol to fit your screwdriver, it's difficult to drive the screws in straight. When I finished with the 4-screw installation I was worried that the screws might eventually vibrate loose. I hedged my bet using black RTV silicon around the inner flange where it was out of sight. Should now last longer than the jeep.

Looked good at first. Slight gap between Jeep body and fuel cover. Easy to install but does require putting holes in stock plastic gas cap retainer. Removed after I noticed bubbles on inside and outside of cover @ 6 months (see photos in review). If you decide to order, ensure it is direct from Rugged Ridge (see why below). The sell by vendor CSE wasn't going to exchange until I contacted RR direct.Updated:4/13/13:Rugged Ridge came through. After emailing scan of receipt and photos, they replaced the fuel door directly (under the warranty). To prevent future problems I painted (sealed) the fuel door with a special marine paint in black. I will try and post additional photos. Upgraded the review as a result of support. If the fuel door lasts an additional 1-2 years, I'll give more stars.

Product is more shiny and smooth than the image which appears more of a rugged, textured surface. Because of this surface, it seems like it could scratch easily, as some of the reviews had mentioned. Mine arrived scratch-free. Bought this for a '12 Jeep Rubicon which comes with just a lame plastic lip surrounding the depressed fuel cap. This door is much more of a statement and looks at home on this vehicle, Jeep missed the boat on this one as it should have been an option from the manufacturer. Visible exterior screws are dummies making installation so easy, cover fits inside existing plastic lip and attaches with 4 screws. Yes, you have to screw into the plastic of your precious vehicle but it's so worth it. The directions assume forcing the screws into the plastic by hand but I suggest using a drill so it takes only a second. An issue with this cover in my experience is the fit isn't perfect, was only able to get the top two screws in good and tight which pulled the bottom part away from the plastic. Got one more screw in on the bottom to an acceptable degree but the last one was too short and wouldn't reach the plastic. To avoid this you might try just getting each hole drilled and started and then hand tighten in rotation to make sure they are all equal and the cover doesn't pull to any side but honestly, the whole process took under 4 minutes and after giving it a good shake it doesn't look like it's going anywhere. You can always adjust it down the road (pun intended) if it starts to shake loose or anything. Instant gratification.

I was slightly concerned about this piece and had read a lot of reviews of the Mopar Door. I was worried it would be cheap or look cheap or not fit properly. In fact, it looks great, OEM style, shuts solid, nice finish, installed easy (without a drill, just a little elbow grease and a screwdriver), and does a nice job of dressing up the jeep.I didn't get the one with the lock. We're not quite in Mad Max territory yet, but I just like the look and always thought the exposed fuel cap was kind of cheap looking. This is on the satiny/glossy side, but overall looks very nice.

Looked around at several models before deciding on this fuel door cover for my 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited X 4 door. Had it shipped overnight and arrived today with no problems. Door cover is very solid made and actually heavier than I expected. I installed in 15 minutes, I lined up and drilled very small pilot holes so it went in quick. For best results, I recommend aligning the cap and duct taping in place when drilling the holes, then screw in on opposite corners as you torque down. Very happy with my purchase and would recommend to anyone looking for that finishing touch on their Jeep.Pro's - Quick install, seems durable and not cheap looking at all (see pics).Con's - A little loose while mounting but held in place with some duct tape and very solid after mounting.
