This cell is an exact replacement for the Hayward cell and lasts longer, I highly recommend it.

The plug is a little short, but I finessed it into the socket. Didn’t need the flange nuts but used the o rings. If you have a Hayward Aquarite system, it takes a while for it to recognize the new cell. After that, it works great. Good value and a lot cheaper than Hayward. If you get 4 years out of it, that’s pretty good.

The Rula Salt Cell functions well and accurately measures salt levels. However, I encountered some challenges when installing the replacement cell with the Hayward OEM quick connects. I had to sand and smooth the molded plastic around the joint where the seal connects to ensure a proper fit. Additionally, I replaced the original quick connect seals and applied plenty of plumbing tape on the threads. Using a strap wrench, I tightened the quick connects as much as possible to stop the leaks. After these adjustments, the issue was resolved. As for durability and longevity, only time will tell.

Saved hundreds of dollars over the Hayward version. Extremely easy to install. Turn off power, unplug. Then the two plumbing connectors. That's it. My system was generating chlorine within minutes.
