Nice add-on. Easy to program. Good value.

I installed this on my new-to-me 2018 Honda CB500F and as a new rider this has been great! No more trying to upshift when I'm already in 6th gear or forgetting how much I need to downshift when I come to a stop. Just a quick glance down now tells me.I got the blue and seems bright enough. I put it on the handle bar near the clutch lever as I didn't want a blue light shining up at me if I put near the LCD display (plus there was no great place to put it). I just need to glance down a bit to see it so it is not always in my line of sight.Installation wasn't bad about 30 minutes or so. I took a little time to figure out the routing and put the included mount and friction pad on the handle bar near the left grip. However, I could not get two screws in - just the top one, but it is pretty tight (although I will toss in some loctite). Then I routed the wire down and ziptied to the left side frame and under the lower faring (just one screw and pull out some mount points) and up under the seat. Just plug into the ECU and off you go.I do not yet have a rear stand so I took it out on a road with no traffic. Basically, it learns as you go through the gears. It blinks L when in learning mode and then blinks 1. Then you put it into first and rev (or ride) until it blinks faster and faster then turning to n. Then it goes to 2 and you repeat that process. Do the same for 3, 4, 5, and 6th gears.Once complete, it works great! While shifting up or down, as soon as you let out the clutch it shows the gear pretty quickly. With the clutch in, it shows a dash ('-') so you don't know what gear until it is released. However, you CAN downshift multiple times and as soon as you let out the clutch it will show the correct gear.Overall, I am quite pleased. Hope this holds up, but time will tell. I highly recommend as it makes riding much easier (plus most new models have this built-in). While you can tell by revs/speed sometimes you do forget and its just easier to glance down and see it.

The screen kinda peeled. But that's probably my fault. Not too bright at night although it is bright. Program it and go (you'll need a way to keep the wheel off the ground)
