I did not need this for fuel, but instead a way to connect a factory ford Quick Connect (SAE J2044) female to a NPT connection. In my case, the cold air intake I was working on had a plastic 5/8" hole and the NPT threads on this bit into the plastic forming a good seal. It then connected to the Ford connector perfectly, very tight and secure. While it's not meant for this - it worked perfectly.
