Your cart is empty. The Edelbrock/Russell Speed Bleeder replaces the original bleeder valves in calipers and wheel cylinders with a spring-loaded one-way ball and check valve design. This unique check ball design opens to allow the old fluid and air out and closes automatically between the pumps preventing the old fluid and air from re-entering the line. A special coating on the speed bleeder threads keep it from admitting air into the system and keeps expelled air and fluid out. The check ball is centerless ground 410 stainless steel which resists corrosion and galling. It features a patented thread sealing system that displaces air and moisture during thread engagement as well as eliminates air from being pulled back into the system during bleeding.

Hey, do you like doing things yourself?Of course you do! That's why you're doing your own brakes. It's also why you're on Amazon looking up your own parts. You either don't like people, or you're smarter than most other people (in which case you probably also don't like those other people). So why would you do all of this stuff solo-dolo, but then have to ask for help to have someone just sit in the car and step on a freaking brake pedal (and then probably have them somehow mess up that one simple task)???Easy answer: don't. Get these Speed-Bleesers instead. They're basically bleeder screws that are just one-way check valves and won't let air back in your lines while you're bleeding them. Works great! Why they don't come as OEM I don't know, probably cost efficiency or something like that.In any case, you should definitely buy these. Shoot, grab a bunch of em! You're probably going to want to put them on everything with brakes; cars, trucks, motorcycles, your day job. The sky is the limit.

Great product! Easy to install and makes bleeding the brakes on my Mustang a 1 person job. I had to check if i had the correct part because the bleeder for the rear brakes is a bit long. After some googling, found that it was the correct part and as no negative on functionnality. Recommended!

Fasted bleed that I've ever done. The only odd part is that the nut is 11mm (which is also 7/16"). The larger nut is probably less likely to round over.

Perfect fit/solution on my 2016 Mazda 3 2.5 GT's rear brake calipers, I bled my brakes and the stock bleeder valve/screw starting to leak just a tiny bit around the threads, which was very annoying. I bought this RUSSELL/EDEL 639560 (M10 x1.0) to help not only repair, but to bleed the system on my own in future. Worked great, took a video showing the fluid transfer going one way via my catch jar/tube, no bubbles, snugged it up and no leaks. Be advised the hex on this use an 11mm wrench, which is not a problem, and the valve body was slightly longer/more threads, but the seat and thread size/pitch were an exact fit. The thread sealant was grey in color for note. Happy with this purchase and product.

Nearly $40 for two pairs of these seemed a little expensive, but I am happy I decided to install them. Brake bleeding has been a painful chore for me in the past, so I wanted it to be able to do it with both ease and and high confidence of being successful on the first try. These bolts looked larger than than the 10mm OEM caliper bolts on my 2013 Outback, but fit just fine with a 7/16 wrench. They did come with factory thread sealant, which perhaps made them appear a bit bigger than the old bolts. So I wasn't surprised they installed very snugly. I appreciated that after having dealt with bubble-producing leaky bleeder threads in the past. The snugness combined with the check valve made me feel very confident that air was not going to get into my brake lines via the bleeder screws during brake bleeding, even if the collection tube fell off the bleeder.I noticed these bleeders drain much more slowly than a bleeder without a check valve, but had no problem eliminating any air which entered the system when swapping the old ones out. I bled each brake line with a Motive 0107 power bleeder immediately after installing each new bleeder screw. I cannot recommend power bleeding enough in combination with these bleeder screws. I'll never go back to the headache of pedal-pumping brake fluid changes ever again.Followed the nonstandard Subaru bleeding order, drained and refilled the reservoir, put everything back together, and was relieved to find the brake pedal was just as firm as before the bleed. Brake bleeding was incredibly fast without an assistant and succeeded on the first try, which I don't think I've ever managed before. Power bleeding with these bleeder screws installed was a breeze. Can't wait to do it again the next time, when I won't even have to worry about swapping out the screws. It really will be about as easy as an oil change.

I originally bought these for tundra caliper swap on 3rd gen 4runner, I realized that these don't fit 13wl tundra calipers when I got them both from Amazon. I would assume these fit stock/OEM 3rd gen 4runner in front, but not 13wl tundra calipers even thou it states 2005 tundra fitment. You need M8x1.0 tread as for speed bleaders for tundra calipers. However, these speed bleaders fit rear brakes as for 3rd gen 4runner. Make sure you installed them/screw them in all the way. It is long tread and it almost feels like, it is being overtorqed. Installed them one per session, meaning install one, bleed and install 2nd one, bleed. If you already made mistake with removal of 2 old bleeders and installing 2 new speed bleeders and now you got overshooting effect. Brake pedal isn't getting harder don't panic. Make sure you top up brake fluid, rear driver side speed bleader is all the way in, remove rear passenger speed bleader for now and use old OEM bleeder. Make sure both bleeders are closed and not leaking. Build up pressure in brake pedal, use long piece of wood or snow brush and jam it against lower seat support. Work on rear driver speed bleeder, it won't be hard as it works for your adventage, bleed all air out using old standard method. Now, remove old bleeder from rear passenger side and install speed bleeder, repeat procedure you just did. Voila .. you bleed brake just by yourself. Alternatively you should bleed all 4 corners before you drive, it shouldn't be that difficult if you got speed bleeders all around like I do. Good luck :)

I absolutely LOVE these things. They are a true marriage saver for the shade tree mechanic. No more asking your Significant Other to sit in the driver's seat, pump up the brakes, and then hold as you bleed the brakes. Instead, just run this bleed screw all the way down, back it off 1/2 turn, and slowly pump the brakes to bleed out the air. Easy Peasy. There's a check valve in these things, so air only goes out, not in. To really do it right, stick a piece of aquarium cleanout tubing over the bleeder nipple, run it upward higher than the bleeder screw, and loop it back down into a container. Once no more bubbles are present, there's no air in the system. Tighten it back down and you're good to go.These are mandatory any time I do a brake job on a car for the first time. I've had them on three cars so far, and once on a clutch slave cylinder. I really love these things.

I have used Russell Speed bleeders on several cars. They are an okay compromise if you must bleed brakes yourself and / or don't have a pressurized / vacuum bleeding tool and / or need the convenience for frequent track-side bleeds as I do. The internal check valve does work as promised but several of mine have leaked after many bleeding cycles, so I consider this an eventual wear item. The main reason for my single star rating is that they are more fragile than stock bleeders. There are no directions so during a recent install I torqued them to the factory original specs per my service manual, only to have one snap off, thus ruining my caliper and causing a very expensive repair. Another negative is that the seat angles are not identical to stock, so once installed they gall the seat in such a way that you may not be able to reinstall a stock bleed screw without leaking. In the end I'm no longer using them on current or future cars.
