Gasket described as ‘5/8 ROPE gasket.’ Actual dimensions are ~5/8” by ~18”. See pictures for details. While this may be a decent gasket, faulty advertising makes it at best an inconvenience. On the bright side, it comes with crazy fast 1 day shipping...

High quality and 100% satisfaction... Conforms around bends easily and sticks well with supplied adhesive if you buy the packagethat contains it... I used some 1/4" thick too and awesome... Seals very well and stays put... You can compress it lengthwise and increase its thickness a bit for added compression.

Worked great on my large vision grill. Unlike bge, You'll need to buy 2. One for the top and one for the bottom. I've also replaced the felt on the top vent with this gasket. You'll need to buy an additional gasket for just the top vent. If you wanted to do that as well. Add the gasket to the inside of vent and onto the ceramic. It's an extremely tight fit. You'll never have to worry about the gaskets at high temp again! Couldn't be happier. Use high temp copper permatex for the glue. Can get that at any auto parts store or here on amazon

I used this to wrap around a motorcycle muffler baffle. It works better than fiberglass and last a lot longer. I have over 5,000 miles on it and pulled the baffle last week and it isn't even worn. Great product if you are looking for an alternate to use for a motorcycle muffler baffle.

This gasket is the right width, but it's very flat. This means that it provided a very drafty seal on my wood stove. I ended up having to rip it off and replace it with another one I picked up at my local hardware store. While I don't feel this was a very good gasket for a woodstove I did like the material it was made out of. It cut very well to size without excess fraying. The one that I used after this fit very well, but was very messy and unraveled quite a bit at the point where it was cut. If this were available in a fatter gasket I would certainly consider using it after my current gasket fails.

Works great sealing my OK Joe smoker. No smoke leaks when applied correctly. It does however start to lose its adherence after few smokes but thats to be expected. I always have extra on hand when this happeñs.

Bought a bunch of this and some Food-Safe High-Temp RTV to install on my offset barbecue pit. So far, this is doing a wonderful job of sealing up the leaks around all the doors, including the firebox. I noticed an immediate decrease in the amount of fuel required to maintain temperature, as well as a longer, constant temperature burn. With the RTV to bond the gasket to the pit, this is a great product.

Worked perfectly to make new gaskets around a wood stove top chimney outlet. Just cut and stick into place with Rutland paste. the paste holds it into place so you can work your item onto the gasket material. The material is very dense and seals well. it is easily cut with a utility knife or general purpose scissors. Seals out the fumes and gases of the fireplace and wood woodstoves where fireproof gasket material is needed..
