Replaces most popular locks with an opening of 3.6" x 2.67" x 1.5". For doors with right side hinges.
Note: Although Skoutag Camper Door Lock fits most RV doors, Please confirm if the size matches.
EASY INSTALLATION
Step 1: Install the front part into the door;
Step 2: Mounting strike plate;
Step 3: Verify the deadbolt knob to match the front part;
Step 4: Assemble the back part, and mount pinch plate and tighten the screws.

This latch was an easy installation! It was harder to remove the old latch due to rusted screws than the actually install of this unit. The fit and finished appearance is very good. The operating mechanism is smooth with just enough of an audible "click" to confirm the latch's engagement. The key ways are both protected to keep help prevent debris and excessive moisture from penetrating the lock cylinder; this helps keep the lock secure. When both the latch and dead bolt are engaged, there is no movement in the door.

Works really good. If it was any easier you wouldn't be able to stand it. If your a diy person well your gonna enjoy this project guaranteed. Amazon and company sure make my life a lot easier. Now get on with it.

We've been full time RV'ing for 10+ years now. During that time we've had people try to get in 3 times, we have a stand alone deadbolt and the standard door latch that came with our rig years ago. I've ALWAYS considered that latch set up to be our Achilles Heel. YES our old latch also had a deadbolt featuure, BUT it was only operable from inside the RV. There was no provision to lock from the outside.THIS Latch / Dead bolt combination is a game changer.The ability to now operate the deadbolt from outside and get that involved as part of our security, Upgrading to this latch was a no brainer.It would / should be a 5 star, but there were no directions included and more then the required amount of screws which instilled a bit of second guessing.I had to use a dremel to change the penetration through the door from round (for the old dead bolt) to square to incorporate the new larger deadbolt.With instructions probably would have been a under an hour project, but as it was it turned out to be 1.5Still HIGHLY recommend, great peace of mind.
