This Ryobi JobPlus multi tool is an all-in-one piece of machinery that can get a variety of tasks done around the house. You can use it to clear the grout from your bathtub, sand up some furniture, and even make cuts into wood, metal, plastic, or drywall like you would with different saws. You only need this one tool to do it all; you only need to swap out the accessories. This kit comes with three of them included for sanding and cutting, with six additional sanding pads. By itself, you’ll be able to accomplish what you need right away if you have access to Ryobi’s One+ line of batteries. You’re not limited to Ryobi for your accessories, either. You can use accessories from other manufacturers as well, giving you the freedom to pick and choose which company has a better head for different purposes. You can be sure that this is no exception to Ryobi’s high standards in home improvement technology.

I have about 20 RyobiBase units and 6 batteries means I’m only charging 6 batteries and not a whole host for each individual device. And they are quite solid. Though not really on a professional level (my drill ended up losing its centre), but then it’s not a professional price. I do however use them quite roughly, and they take it.

You should buy this! The ridged multi tool head attachments are compatible with this tool. So in one tool you can have a sawzaw, hand router, sander and multi tool ect... The new ones don’t allow you to interchange the head limiting you to one tool. Bad move ryobi!!

Great price for the money, and it came faster than I expected. I couldn't find this tool in any of the stores in my area. The seller: [ Simple Works ] had this product at a great price for the money. This is a very useful tool, and can be used with many RIDGID Jobmax™ tool attachments.

This tool is super handy. It performs tasks that no other tool can do efficiently. We used it to chisel out old pool deck mastic. It’s a thousand times easier than doing it by hand, but as another reviewer said, the tool does overheat pretty quickly and takes a LONG time to cool back down. It’s well shaped and sized and easy to hold and manipulate. Overall, we love it!

I decided years ago to only buy battery operated tools and to stick to Ryobi. I have most of their range now: woodworking, gardening, lights, etc. This was my latest purchase and it’s very useful for certain kinds of detail work. The Ryobi ONE+ batteries have great life and having one battery type and one charger type is the way to go. I’ve also found it’s best to buy the Ryobi brand batteries—the knock-offs are *much* cheaper but really don’t hold much of a charge and sometimes they don’t fit properly. It is a “universal” tool, with cutters for wood, metal (but not too thick), drywall, etc. It has various sanding attachments, and other pieces I haven’t figured out how I can use.Heavy duty construction folks tend to denigrate the Ryobi brands as not being robust enough or powerful enough, but for a regular DIY person like me, they work great.

I needed to make precise vertical cuts in our laminated wood flooring in order to patch some areas during our kitchen remodel without having to tear up the whole floor. I saw one of our contractors use theirs on drywall and realized this would be perfect. And it was! I have since then found lots of other uses for this - clean holes in drywall are a snap, for instance. I bought some additional blades, including a scraper, which worked very fast and cleanly. I only wish I had discovered this multi-tool years ago. Oh, and finally, the price is amazing, especially if you have other Ryobi power tools.

Yes, this tool doesn't come with a battery, but I like that it helps reduce the cost when you don't need it; Ryobi batteries are cross functional between other tools. I never worked with a tool like this before, but it was very easy to handle and get used to. I mainly bought this to cut-out small portions of door frames while laying down new vinyl bathroom flooring... it made the whole process painless and quick.

I have now used this in the remodeling of a master bath. Was putting in luxury vinyl planks. Since I dont do this for a living, just DIY I found this multi-tool more than adequate for slicing right through the bottoms of my door jams (to raise them to accept the new flooring thickness under) and cutting a straight line across the flooring for t track thresholds. If I did this for a living, I'd have to get a heftier brand withess plastic, but likely I'll only use this thing 1-2 times per year so you cant beat the cost and ease of use. I used the blades fresh out of the box and but 4 door jams like butter! Get yourself some ear protection though, this thing is loud inside the house!

I've had a little while to use this thing now, and feel I can write a truthful review.I've used multitools from Bosch and makita. While those are superior tools, built for abuse, the ryobi multitool is pretty impressive. For what you're paying and what you're actually getting, I couldn't be happier. If you're a contractor, a carpenter, etc. Do yourself a favor a spend a little extra cash. If you're a DIY homeowner, or someone who has already invested money in the ONE plus line of tools. You'll be more than satisfied. I install flooring for a living and already own the ONE plus airstrike nailer (which, is an incredibly, handy tool), figured I'd give this a try since I already have batteries and I couldn't be more happy or impressed.
