I used this contactor as a power control for a pool filter/heating system. I needed to interupt power to the heater anytime the circulation pump shuts off. I was able to tap into the 220 volt feed to the circulation pump to feed the contactors 220 volt coil that closes the three main contacts. Then I ran the two 220 volt, 30 amp heater power wires through two of the contacts so when the pump shuts off, the contactor opens and stops power going to the heater. The contactor is a very nice build whith easy access to the terminals. The main contact terminals can have the push stab pieces removed and just use the screw terminals to connect your wires. The coil connectors are push stab connectors and can not be changed.

Heavy duty contactor is described as a three phase contactor. It actually is a three pole contactor that I will be using for single phase in order to disconnect all three wires. I plan on using this to control my shop air compressor. I want to take the electrical load of the motor off the pressure switch contacts. I will use the pressure switch to energize the contactor which will then handle the load of the compressor motor.
