Remarkably easy to assemble, sturdy, and comfortable. I just purchased a second one for another studio space. I like that it doesn't have a back; I can quickly turn around, step back, and take a look at my canvas.

Bought this because I have issues with my tailbone and can't really sit in soft stools/chairs. With that said it is really hard, like sitting on wood basically. It seems high quality and it goes really high, but at the same time it doesn't go low enough either. It does help with my tailbone issues so will be keeping but would not use it for sitting for long periods of time. It also comes with a really handy foot rest if you;re short. I'm over 6' so it was just getting in the way, but still, good accessory!

We have been using quite a few of these throughout our facility. The employees use them all day long so they get quite a bit of use, but after about 4 months, we are noticing that the seats are not as durable as the cost suggests. The front of the seat will wear, crack, and begin pinching the person seated. The average usage is 5 days a week and 8 hours a day. We had hoped that we could replace the seats by purchasing new ones, but after speaking to Richelle, one of their representatives they wont do that. Remember this is a $170 chair that gets thrown into a landfill when the seat fails. It would therefore appear that the company is not into preserving the environment nor is customer service a priority, which is why we are giving two stars. This should be good for an average user, but for all day sitting; I suggest potential buyers look elsewhere. Once the other chairs fail, which should be in the next few months, we'll be transitioning to a company that is more customer service based and environmentally conscience as well as producing a chair that will suit our needs.

I originally balked a bit at the price as it is right at $300 with the back especially since it is going in a "garage" type shop area. That said it is very high quality, assembled in about 10 minutes and that was going slow. No pot metal screws or other junk stuff just solid components. Install of the wheels was very well though out with a split ring on the castor shaft and an opening that narrows slightly so that they just pop in with the opening compressing the split ring. The five wheels make it very stable and the stress in my lower back was noticeably relieved after only sitting a few minutes in it. The seat and back covers are kind of a semi rigid plastic material and I suspect will tolerate oil, gas grease etc. spills if that happens. The chrome appears to be thick and very well done unlike some other "chrome" items I have purchased. I am 6 ft with a 34" inseam and I just set the foot rest in the lowest position and never looked back. Not that looks matter all that much in a shop setting but it looks professional with no glaring logos in weird colors. Height adjustment range is very broad and I could easily make it too high or low for a standard height work bench. Note in the picture the shop is a work in progress!!! but wanted to give an idea of what it was like in that setting. After assembly of a number of online purchases that required an hour of adjustments and sometimes screw replacements etc. I would almost buy another one just to put it together. It was that easy!

Very comfortable (especially for large people), very easy to assemble and on a hard surface it rolls effortlessly. I looked at a lot of stools for my workshop area and this one beat all the others hands down. It's not the cheapest one out there but for the Amazon price and Prime shipping it was worth the few extra dollars.

I broke my ankle in 3 places and am not allowed to put any weight on my foot. I have a heavy cast and tried using a walker. I hated it! I had to hop around on one leg, hold up a heavy cast, my hands and shoulders got sore and I felt like I was going to fall backwards all the time. My surgeon recommended a special mobility device that I just didn't want...so I decided on this chair. It was shipped and delivered quickly, easy to assemble and very sturdy. I feel very secure on it and EASILY scoot all over the house doing my chores now. I LOVE IT!!! Wish I could ditch the walker but still need it for a few things.

Something that is not apparent from the photos is that the texture of the black is different than the blue option. The blue is a relatively smooth texture(like leather) and the black has a very fine prismatic texture which gives it an almost holographic sticker effect. Both textures are nice but the black appears more artificial/modern while the blue is more natural/leather in appearance. The seat and base are very firm and sturdy. The weak part is the foot ring which probably explains the 250 lb weight limit. If you are a big person I think it will work for you as long as you don't put all your weight on the foot ring to climb up onto the raised stool. I am 230 lb and have the ring positioned all the way at the base and it flexes disconcertingly when moderate weight is put on it.I am 5'8" and at the stools lowest height my heels are still 2-3 inches off the ground. I would have preferred to be flat footed at the lowest height. Conversely its maximum height is well above what I need to sit comfortably at a standing desk.Amazon has a great price($168) on the black base and at this time there is also a discounted price($59.90) on the red back support(a discontinued color). I am pleased with it for what I paid and I may actually pick up another. It has a very cool look which the picture doesn't do justice. But the weakness in the foot ring prevents it from getting five stars.

This stool simply slides together with friction fittings; it takes a couple of minutes at the most to assemble. It's surprisingly heavy and very, very sturdy--quite a bit more reassuring than most of the rolling stools you'll find at the big-box office supply store. The seat is very comfortable as well. I'm a big guy (6'3" and 240#), and it's perfect for me while moving around my studio. The adjustable foot ring REALLY comes in handy for those of us with long legs, too!
