This desk was exactly as described. We needed a sturdy desk for a student that was going to use/abuse it. It has served its purpose well. It was easy to assemble. We had students help us put it together on a free hour. Very easy to read and understand directions that came with the desk. I would recommend this desk in any classroom.

For teachers who have kids who need to move, this desk is a miracle worker. Sometimes students really just want a break from sitting in the desk unit. Off task behavior has decreased. My students are learning cooperation because we only have two and they have to take turns. They know if they disrupt and argue the desks are off limits so they work out a schedule amongst themselves that rarely requires my intervention. My only negative comment is about the foot swing. Students need to be very gentle with it. If they apply too much of their body weight (which they accidentally do sometimes when they are fidgeting), the bar will loudly pop off - but it will pop back on.

Purchased this stand up desk for my seventh grader who is learning remotely from his bedroom over his school supplied chrome book. He has the option to sit at a different desk or stand at this desk. I had a very similar one in my fourth grade classroom before I retired. My son uses it virtually every day. It was fairly easy to assemble. Don’t over tighten. Height and table size are great. It’s decent quality for the price. I’m satisfied. My son has o/t and attention issues so this desk does help him focus and deal with excess energy. The foot pedal is removable. I removed it because he was using it too much. The desk stores easily near his closet for weekends and is easily moved to a rug in his open area floor space for daily classes. There were other desk options but I felt safe with this company. Desk was packed professionally. So far, it’s holding up well. No complaints.

The desk is really sturdy and great design. But, for a kid who swings the foot pole too hard, the banging against the under side of the desk or hitting the chair is so loud. I bought this for my son who is homeschooling right now and it's massively distracting to me while I'm working from home. Obviously I'm working on him on not swinging it so hard, but it's just more stress. Great desk, but be prepared if your kid isn't very gentle.

Desks are not as durable as I would like them to be. I’ve had them for 2 years now and they have suffered a lot of wear and tear. I teach 7th grade and was hoping this would be a permanent part of my classroom. The plastic on top begins to peel off, the foot bar falls out often, and all screws must be tightened often.

I am in love with this standing desk! It's SOOOO much bigger than I had expected but I love the extra room. I have Restless Legs pretty badly and sometimes at night when I need to be working, my legs just want to move. The swing bar on this desk is fabulous. I have actually lowered the desk so I can sit in a chair and use it and still use the swing bar. I'm sure I look absolutely ridiculous but it is so helpful for my legs that just want to move.

I have 4 of these in my classroom and 10 of the similar model with a storage box. My students absolutely love them and they are always in full use in the classroom. The students like that they have more space to move and that they are able to stand and stretch. I like that the students are more engaged and focused while using these desks. Thanks to the support of DonorsChoose, I have been able to add these desks to my room. My ideal room would have a complete set of these, but with 37 kids in a class, that isn't going to happen just yet!I love that the kids can gather there and have a partner work with them, or that they can use it as a platform for work with multiple kids, or that they can pull a chair up and sit behind them. They also like to sit on the floor and use the lower shelf as a work area at times. Multipurpose, gives kids options!My lack of a star is because this model really does need the storage box, it is worth the extra cost. It keeps things tidy and organized. Each desk took a custodian about 25 minutes to assemble and once they are set up, you really don't want to adjust them much. If I had free money to spend, a full set of these would be a priority in my middle school.

The expected arrival window began on Friday. Late in the afternoon on the Wednesday prior, FedEx delivered one large box to my front door. I put it together Thursday morning. All parts were present. None was damaged or defective. The assembly instructions were clear, easy to follow. A short time later I had a sturdy stand-up desk. Its max height, 42 inches, is ideal for me (6 foot). The desk surface is large enough to hold your laptop and for you to write in a full-size notebook beside it. A desk lamp could fit on it, too, as well as the papers and paraphernalia that accumulate around a home computer. The surface wipes clean. The book box is strong and large enough to hold twice a full-size American Heritage Dictionary. The desk remains secure and rigid even if I lean on it. The swinging footrest, should you use it, swings silently. One note on assembly: The screws can be hard to turn in and some screw in where it would be hard to use a power driver or even a screwdriver with a fat, squishy handle. You'll need a strong #2 Phillips head screwdriver, a strong hand and likely a pair of good, leather work gloves. Excellent desk.
