The rubber edging is somewhat sharp on the bottom and the first time someone spilled a drink on one of the tables the liquid got between the rubber edge and the formica top and made the edge in that area bubble up. In a setting that requires a certain level of cleaning between uses the sanitation process makes the edges bubble up all the way around (normal hospital conference room use nothing extreme). The top need to be either edge sealed properly or made of a solid plastic, the thin plastic top layer does not keep liquids like spilled drinks from reaching the particle board inside.
