This is a nice, feature rich tippet holder with one significant flaw......the spring-loaded end cap measures at approximately 0.4 inches, which is too big to fit through some tippet spools. My Rio spools in particular cannot slide over the end cap on to the rod. I have some Truscend spools with bigger holes that fit fine. If your tippet spools have holes 0.4" or bigger, I recommend it. Measure twice, buy once.

It works decent. The handy tippet cutters have a plastic cover that was loose due to their glue. I needed to UV glue them in place when as soon as the item arrived. The glue they used did not hold.Other than that this works very well, is made out of aluminum and holds the tip it reels fine.I like the opening and closing method for the reel bar, and the rubber washers helps them from rattling.I would prefer an aluminum attachment hook rather than a plastic one supplied.It's about the same price as a Fishpond brand, So it would be up to you to make the call.I like the item and would buy it as a gift and recommend it.

Fits all my tippet. Could probably hold 5 tightly at once. Works as it should. No complaints. Would recommend this.

The build quality was decent and it does have a neat feature in a built in tippet cutter. But what boggles my mind is how they didn’t build this to hold one of the most common tippet spools out there, rio. I included a pic with the instructions but it basically says the tippet should just slide over the end knob. Mine did not. Maybe if I forced it it might go in but they just seems like poor design.

This tippet holder wasn’t for me, but I had a good conversation with company and they seem committed to making a great product.I just read the other review. 2 stars?!?! If you unscrew the end-piece it allows you to place a spool - and definitely fits tippet spools from Rio, Orvis, etc.Weeks later and the Vine customer reviewing the free product still hasn't figured it out. Maybe a good reason not to trust Vine or their choice in “reviewers”.Apparently Vine found someone to figure out how this product works. Rated for ages 3 years and up.
