Sand Blast Suction Cabinet No. 4 Gun Assembly, 1/8" Air Jet, Includes 1/4" (#4) Tungsten Carbide Nozzle. Suction Sand Blast gun directs a high-speed mixture of air and abrasive to quickly remove corrosion, mill scale, coatings, heat treatment residue, carbon buildup, tool marks, and burrs. The air jet at the back of the nozzle directs a high-speed stream of compressed air through the mixing chamber and out the nozzle. The rapid passage of this air generates negative pressure, causing blast media to flow into the mixing chamber and out the nozzle. This technology is widely known as venturi or suction blasting. The operator holds the Suction gun at a predetermined distance and angle, relative to the surface being blasted. The Suction blast gun can clean, finish, or peen the part being blasted. By moving the gun and the part, the operator quickly covers as much of the surface as needs blasting.

This gun was a welcome upgrade for my HF blast cabinet. I'd replaced their inferior media gun when I bought the cabinet with a TP Skat Blast hand operated gun. That's a great upgrade as well, but going foot pedal operated I needed a better option. This one is like the Clemco and was a straight swap. Be advised though, you need a beefy compressor as this gun uses a much more air hungry orifice. My compressor is an 80g 31scfm unit and it cycles frequently when using this one as the Skat Blast only required about 6-9 scfm whereas this one eats up around 16-22scfm. I'll find a smaller orifice and see how that effects this setup. All in all, it's a great and welcome upgrade. Oh, and I swapped the Tungsten nozzle for a Boron Carbide, that in and of itself is the best investment as it out lasts Tungsten 7-10 fold.
